The walk to my classroom was long and awkward. Kuroo and Ishihara were the talk of the whole school. There wasn't a single soul who wasn't talking about them.

There's no way they're actually dating,

He told me himself last night that he'd never like her, so why is this rumor spreading all of a sudden?

"No way! Ishihara and Kuroo are dating?"

"I knew it! I see them walk together a lot!"

I clenched onto the handle of my bookbag.

I wanted to believe in Kuroo but I couldn't stop the gossip from getting to me.

"Aya-pi!" Mizuki hooked her arm around my shoulder from behind. "What brings you to school so early in the morning?"

I dejectedly looked down at my shoes.

I was so excited to see Kuroo today that I woke up early and rushed to school. But after hearing the rumors about him and Ishihara, I couldn't help but feel naive and disappointed.

I should have known that he and I weren't meant to be together. I should have never confessed last night.

I feel so stupid.

"Whoa! Your hair is totally cute!"

Mizuki played with my hair with the hand that was around my shoulder.

"T-thanks," I said unenthusiastically.

"Last night, I was watching tv and...."

I tried to listen to Mizuki but her voice was drowned out by the other students.

"The two hotties in the school are dating? How can I get mad at that?"

"Right? They're perfect for each other!"

"They make such a good couple! Ah, I'm so jealous!"

A lot of people noted how Kuroo and Ishihara made such a good pair. After all, they were the most good looking students in the school.

There's no way people would think the same way about him and me.

"-he the guy you hang out with after practice?"

"Huh?" I looked over at Mizuki, just barely missing her question.

"The guy everyone is talking about right now. Kuroo, was it? He's the one you've been seeing after practice?" She clarified her question.

"Um, yeah...."

I looked back down. My mind was a jumbled mess.

"It's kind of unbelievable that Sumi-chan is dating someone," she commented.

'Sumi-chan'? Is she talking about Ishihara?

"Afterall, she's kind of a bi-"

"There you are, Mizu Mizu!!"

"We were looking for you!"

Two girls popped out of a classroom to say hello to Mizuki.

Are these Mizuki's friends?
