Watching Bokuto wave at me happily made him resemble a dog greeting his owner more so than an owl.

"Kou, what are you doing here?" I glanced around at the people staring at him.

Bokuto stuck out like a sore thumb. From his extreme spiky hair to his light grey uniform that contrasted with everyone's navy blue ones, he seemed like the protagonist of an anime.

"Kou?" Kuroo repeated after me, he sounded intrigued yet upset.

Bokuto and I have gotten extremely close these past few days since we've met. He texted me constantly and helped me greatly whenever I told him about my troubles, especially the ones regarding Kuroo.

"Kuroo, hey hey hey!" Bokuto greeted him with his hand in the air, waiting for Kuroo to slap it.

"Hey," Kuroo begrudgingly gave him a high-five.

Bokuto always spoke highly of Kuroo, even going as far as saying that he's his best friend. But from the looks of it, Kuroo doesn't feel the same way as him.

Is this....UNREQUITED LOVE?!

I've been a fool for not noticing this sooner. The day we met, he went out of his way to find Kuroo. Then when he said he wanted to get to know me more, it was because he wanted to know more about his love rival.

I even went as far as telling him that Kuroo confessed to me yesterday. Did I hurt his feelings?

"Since you're both here, there's this cafe that just opened up and I heard the strawberry milk there is delicious! Let's go?" Bokuto excitedly tugged on my arm.

I'll be a third wheel if I went. I really want to support Bokuto!

"Ah, I have to study and then go to archery practice. You two go on without me," I politely declined.

Bokuto, good luck!

"But....but...." Bokuto's hair flopped down as if they were dog ears.

"By the way, don't you have volleyball practice today?" Kuroo butt in between us with his arms crossed.

"But....I want to go to the cafe with my two besties," Bokuto looked up at Kuroo with large puppy-like eyes.

Kuroo dropped his arms and sighed. "Unlike you, I can't skip out on practice."

"I know! I know! That's why I brought the team with me!" Bokuto exclaimed.

As if on cue, a group of boys in Fukurodani's school uniform showed up.

"Aya-pi, you've been missing a lot these days. Is everything okay?" Mizuki rested her bow beside her then turned to look at me.

"I just have a lot on my mind," I reassured her.

After the Fukurodani students arrived, who turned out to be the Fukurodani's boys volleyball team, they challenged Nekoma to a volleyball match.

The winning team gets to hang out with me.
