"Oh God," Rose whispers in horror. "Logan! Logan, are you okay?" She rattles the metal door, shrieking and yelling his name, but he doesn't reply. What happened?

She hears the pitter-patter of footsteps coming down the steps and she waits with baited breath, hoping that it was Logan and he was okay. But it turned out to be some girl. Her blonde hair fell on to her face as she descended, quickly running over to Rose's cell. "Don't worry, I'm going to get you out of here," she reassures Rose.

"What-" Rose stutters, confused as to what was going on. "Who are you?"

"I'll explain later; right now, we have to get you out of here," the girl replies. She grabs her wrist once she opened the cell door and pulls her out, running up the stairs and out the front door, passing two unconscious guards. But where was Logan?

"Wait!" Rose exclaims, digging her heels into the ground. "I need to find Logan!"

"Don't worry, Logan's outside," the girl reassured her. "Now let's go!"

She pulled her along, Rose practically tripping and stumbling over her own two feet as they run out of there like they were being chased by killer cheetas. Finally, they stopped at the entrance to the forest, their hands on their knees as they gasped for air. "You know," Rose said through her gasping. "When I woke up, I didn't expect to be doing this much running."

"When Logan called me, I didn't expect I'd be rescuing you," the girl replied. "I was expecting more of a nice reunion after being separated for six years."

"You know Logan?" Rose asks curiously, a strange feeling bubbling up in the pit of her stomach.

"Rose!" a voice shouts from behind her. Suddenly, two muscle-y arms wrap around her from behind as she's pulled back into someone's chest. She turns around and looks up to meet Logan's green eyes.

"Why are you hugging me," she asks in a monotone voice, her arms not moving from her sides; partly because Logan was holding them down with his arms, but partly because she wasn't sure if she should hug him around Logan's... girlfriend.

"Right," he says, slowly taking his arms off of her. "Sorry. No physical contact."

"No, it's fine," she blurts out, blushing.

He smirks at her and hugs her once more, the strange feeling in her stomach changing into a warm and fuzzy feeling as she hugged him back. From where she was standing, the blonde girl cleared her throat, uncomfortable as these two had their love-fest.

"Well, I'm sorry to interrupt you two lovebirds, but I think we should get going," she says with her eyebrow raised. "Unless you want to get caught."

"Lovebirds?" Rose asks incredulously. "No, Logan and I are just friends."

"Oh really?" the girl responds, smirking at Logan. "Interesting."

"I actually thought you and Logan were dating," Rose continues, her statement immediately bringing up laughter from them both.

"Rose," Logan says through his laughter. "Lindsey's my cousin."

"Don't worry, Rose," Lindsey reassures her after she was done laughing. "I won't take Logan away from you any time soon."

"Rose, do you mind going ahead for a bit?" Lindsey asks her as they trek through the forest. "I need to speak to Logan in private for a bit."

"Sure," she replies, running up ahead. Knowing that they were cousins, Rose was comfortable leaving them alone.

"Just friends, huh," Lindsey says to Logan, raising her eyebrows.

"I may have exaggerated our relationship..." Logan replies slowly, avoiding her eyes.

"You said she was your girlfriend, idiot!" she whisper-yells at him, smacking his arm.

"Ow!" he exclaims, rubbing his arm. "Technically she is; she's my friend and she's a girl."

"But you said you two were dating," Lindsey argues.

"Okay, okay," Logan responds, holding his hands up. "We're not dating."

"But you like her," Lindsey points out, not even questioning it.

He hums an agreement, keeping his eyes ahead of him; mainly on Rose. The girl just drove him crazy; a good crazy, that is.

"Well what do you plan to do then, lover boy?" she teases him.

"I don't know, Lin," he replies, running his hand through his mane of curly, brown hair. "I really don't know."
