"So how did you guys get there so fast?" Rose asks them as she walks ahead.

"We used some dirt bikes," Lindsey replies, as they reach a clearing, two dirt bikes sitting in the sunlight.

"Oh yeah," Rose said, as she sped towards the bikes, an excited gleam on her face. She swung her leg on to one side, situating herself on the bike comfortably. "Let's go."

"Whoa there," Logan says, holding his hands up as he walks up to her. "You need supervision. Who knows what you're gonna do when on a dirt bike by yourself."

"Hurtful," Rose says in a playful tone, holding her hand up to her chest as if her heart had shattered into a million pieces from one statement.

"Just put the helmet on and get on the damn bike, Rose," Logan says, rolling his eyes as a smile spreads across his face.

He puts his own helmet on, sitting himself at the front as Rose gets on from behind, wrapping her arms around his waist. He revs the engine, and Rose turns her head to the left, watching Lindsey get on her own. She sees the two of them and winks at Rose before putting on her helmet and speeding off.

"What was that about?" Logan asks; he had obviously seen Lindsey wink at the two of them.

Rose merely shrugs, tightening her grip around his waist as they speed off into the forest, praying to God that they would finally find her parents and end all of this.

Once they arrived back in the city, they checked into a hotel, and relaxed for a bit, regaining their energy back as they talked strategy.

"Okay, first, we should go to the police-" Lindsey starts off, but is immediately cut off by her cousin.

"Lindsey, are you crazy? Logan Terry, the boy that ran away, and Rose Elton, the girl who went missing, walk into a police station?" He looks at her as if she belonged in a mental institution; perhaps she did. Rose mentally agreed with Logan, wondering why Lindsey would think that a plan like that would be such a brilliant idea.

"Well do you have a better idea?" she shoots back, knowing he had nothing in mind.

"He probably doesn't, but I do," Rose interjects, getting their attention. "I have this huge file on my parents that I took when I first escaped. It's bound to have their address on it. Once we find it, we go to the place and look for them."

They all agree on Rose's plan and split the huge file into three parts, getting to work. The only thing that could be heard was the ruffling of papers as they hunted for the address. "It's got to be here somewhere," Logan muttered, his eyes quickly skimming each paper.

"Found it!" Lindsey shouted after a few moments of silence. "9-13 Baskerville Road."

"That's only a couple blocks away," Logan mutters, standing up and glancing out the window.

"How do you know?" Rose asks, perplexed. She didn't know Logan knew this city.

"I used to live here with my parents; I still remember every road," he explained. "I still remember the story about you; about how you went missing and everyone in town went into a frenzy looking for you. Children were kept under close watch and there was even a curfew; it was crazy, but understandable. Safety precautions, you know?" He spins around, clapping his hands and rubbing them together. "So, Baskerville Road. I know exactly where that is. Shall we?"

"We shall," the two girls said, throwing on their coats and heading out the door with Logan leading them.

"9-09... 9-11... 9-13, here we are!" Logan exclaims, walking up the front porch.

The house was in fairly good shape, from what Rose could tell. It was a nice sky blue color, and the driveway looked newly paved; however, the car parked in the driveway looked very old and dusty, as if no one had used it in years. Strange... She climbed the stairs up the porch and rang the doorbell, hearing it echo inside.

"Oh for God's sake, if it's another person telling me to vote for Romney, I swear, I'll-" a woman pulled the door open, after the three teens had heard her yelling from inside. "Oh hello. And who might you be?" She had dark, wavy hair that hung to her hips, fair skin, and sparkling brown eyes. She had on an apron, her left hand clutching a feather-duster; and from the smell, she had recently disinfected something.

"Hello, ma'am. My name's Logan, and this is my cousin, Lindsey," Logan introduces, pointing to Lindsey.  "And this is Rose; Rose Elton."

At Rose's name, the woman's eyes widened and she dropped the feather-duster in her hand. "Rosie? Rosie, is it really you?" She takes a step closer, taking her face gently in her hands, tilting her head, as if to check her face wouldn't change at a different angle. "Oh Rosie, it really is you!" she  exclaims, throwing her arms around Rose.

Awkwardly, Rose hugged her back; after all, she had no idea who this woman was. "I'm sorry," she says, pulling back, wiping a few tears from her eyes. "My name is Kate; I was, well I still am, your housekeeper."

"May we come inside?" Lindsey asks, and Kate quickly ushers them inside, showing them to the living room.

"Please, please, sit down. I'll go get some snacks," she says as she walks off towards the kitchen.

"Well," Logan says, looking around the living room. "So far, so good."

"You probably just jinxed it, idiot," Lindsey reprimanded him.

Logan ignores her, putting his arm around Rose reassuringly. They were so close to finding her parents; Rose could feel it in her gut.

Yes, I just ended it right there. Sue me. I finally got this chapter finished after like a month of writer's block. You know, I was hoping this would be two pages. Guess not. Oh well. Looks like I'm probably not going to finish this by Christmas. I'll try and get chapter 13 before November ends. Hope you guys are enjoying the story so far!
