Runaway (Dacre Montgomery)

Push!!!

Early in the morning Dacre woke up suddenly, he sat bolt upright wondering what had happened, after a few moments he rolled over to see if Sarah was asleep, then it hit him, he's hand was wet!.
He leaned over to turn the lamp on, the whole right side of the bed was wet where Sarah was sleeping.

Dacre shook Sarah gently, "babe... babe you um you need to wake up", Sarah started coming round, "what, what time is it!?" Sarah said eyes still closed, Dacre looked at he's watch and back to he's fiancé, "it's 3:25 babe but, I think your waters have broken!", Sarah couldn't believe what she was hearing, she pulled back the sheets and there it was a huge puddle surrounding her, "aww fuck sake!" She put her head in her hands partly out of tiredness, partly out of embarrassment, Dacre kissed her head before getting out of bed, "come on angel we need to ring Dr Carter".

Dacre rushed around the apartment gathering the hospital bag and medical notes, when he went back to the bedroom Sarah was just slipping her shoes on, "ok babe were ready, do you want to take Katie or shall I call Joe", Sarah thought for a minute, "I'd love to take her but I think it will be too much, could you call Joe please, I just need to pee and il be out", with that Sarah heads to the bathroom and Dacre goes into the kitcheb to call Joe.

What the hell man! This better be important I was sleeping!
Uh yeah it's important dude, Sarah's in labour!
Holy shit, what do you need we will be over in a minute
I think Sarah just wants you to have Katie?
Chloe wake up Sarah's in labour we gotta get Katie! Yeah man we will be over in second
Thanks guys, bye!

A few minutes later Joe, Chloe, Natalia and Charlie were at the door, "what are you all doing here?" Dacre asked, moving aside to let them in.
"I'm sorry D but we're coming with you, Nat and Charlie are going to watch Katie",
Everybody turned to see Sarah waddling in to the room, "what ever just hurry up these pains are really kicking in now!", Dacre grabbed hold of Sarah and helped her down to the car while Joe got her bags and Chloe got the car seat.
They all piled in to Dacre's Range Rover and headed for the hospital, Dacre called the OBGYN on the way, who said she would meet them there.

"Ahhhh" Sarah was screaming in pain in the back, Dacre felt lost he just rubbed her back, he started timing her contractions, they were every 6 minutes now and by the sound of Sarah's pain they were intense.
It took them 20 mins to get to the hospital, once there Dacre ran to the desk to check Sarah in, Luckily Dr Carter got there before them and already had a room ready, the receptionist showed them to the room, it was quite a big spacious room, there was already a hospital crib at the bottom of the bed waiting for their little boy to make an appearance.

Sarah got laid on the bed and Dacre never left her side, he held her hand and rubbed her back whilst the contractions were happening, she needed some medication, so he buzzed for the Dr to come in.
Five minutes later when the Dr came in Sarah was in the middle of a contraction, "oh sweet girl let me get you something" Dr Carter said as she saw the pain in Sarah's face, she waited for the contractions to pass before speaking to Sarah, "ok honey what medicine do you want? Do you want to feel some of this or have the epidural?" The Dr politely asked Sarah, "I want to feel it as much as I can, not the epidural please" Sarah pleased with her, "ok then, pethidine it is".

Once the Dr gave Sarah some pain relief the contractions were more bearable, yet she still felt them.
A few hours passed with on and off contractions gradually getting worse and worse, nurses coming in the room every 30 minutes to check Sarah's vitals, always no change, until now, Dr Carter came in with a student nurse and checked the contraction records, felt Sarah's stomach and said, "ok Sarah it's time honey" Sarah gave her a worried nod, "and I'm sorry guys you need to wait outside now, only Dacre can be in here, someone will come out and get you as soon as Sarah is ready" Dr Carter told Joe and Chloe, the pair ran over to Sarah and gave her a hug and kiss, "you got this babe ok! I love you" Chloe said before walking out of the room, "im so proud of you Sarah's, hurry up with my nephew! Love u guys!" Joe said following Chloe out of the delivery suite.

"Ok Sarah you know what to do, chin to chest and push!", Sarah pushed with all she had through every contraction "aaahhh", "well done! Take a breath and wait for the next contraction and go again" Dr Carter said as she observed, "Dacre you want to come down here I can see the head" she told the expectant father, Dacre looked back at Sarah who gave him an approving nod.
Dacre walked towards the bottom of the bed unsure of what to expect, when he looked down there he was, he's son, "oh my god Sarah he has so much hair!" The couple laughed, both with tears filing their eyes, "ok Sarah this should be the last push get the shoulders out and your nearly there!".
Sarah waited for the next contraction, when it came she pushed with everything she had until she heard it, the most beautiful sound, their newborn son crying.

"Sarah he's amazing!" Dacre ran back up to he's fiancé and gave her a passionate kiss filled with so much love. "Do you want to cut the cord Dacre?", without even thinking Dacre ran to the bottom of the bed and took the scissors from the doctor, with her guidence he cut the cord, freeing their son, Dr Carted weighed him and checked him over before wrapping him up and passing him to Dacre.

Dacre couldn't believe the amount of love he was feeling for such tiny person, he sat on a stool right next to Sarah, the couple were just staring at their newborn son for what felt like forever.
