~Present Day : One month after delivery. ~

It's been one full month since I've delivered my beautiful Kiera.

She's a really whiny baby but she's the sweetest little newborn you'd ever meet.

The first two weeks were a little rough on me because I was still healing from the C-Section, while I had to care full time for a newborn.

Luckily I finished this school semester early so that I could care to Kiera.

When Kiera was first born, I couldn't tell who she looked like. But everyday I saw Kelly's face more and more every single time I looked at her. She looked just like her daddy.

She really is a beautiful baby.

Today we're going to a big get together for friends and family. I'm nervous because I know that Kelly's parents are gonna be there.

Ever since everything happened between me and Kelly, my parents stopped messing with his. Permanently. They gave the occasional good morning, but my parents would always ignore them when they would try to make small talk.

I don't really know how today's gonna go and I'm extremely nervous.

I shower and unravel my curls which showed that my twist out was successful.

I put on a body con dress which has a nice snake print all over it. Ya girl got spanx on underneath cause she hasn't fully snapped back yet.

I put on some skinny black heels to match the black spots on my dress.

Once I bathed and fed Kiera, I put her into a cute mini little white romper with beautiful sunflowers all over it.

Her hair was still very precious and soft, so I wet it and brushed it so that it would stay slicked down.

I then placed the headband that matched her romper onto her head.

I made sure her feet were secure into her adorable little brown sandals. Once I made sure her baby bag was packed, I went into the bathroom to fluff my curls out a little.

I secured her into her car seat and placed her baby bag onto my shoulder.

I grabbed my keys and picked up her car seat so that we could leave my apartment.

We then headed to my parents house.

Once Kiera and I arrived, it was packed. I walked into our gigantic backyard and said hi to all of my friends and family.

They were all in awe of my beautiful baby girl

When I finally sat down, I was eating a plate of barbecue as I occasionally checked to see if my pretty girl was still napping.

The music was pretty loud, and I'm surprised because usually any and every sudden sound awakes her.

This girl.

When I finished my plate, I asked my cousin to throw it away for me so that I wouldn't have to leave Kiera.

I cleaned my hands off noticing that she was starting to get antsy.

I picked her up out of her car seat and placed her in my left arm as I gently rocked her. I grab a bottle out of her baby bag and head into the kitchen to warm it up.

Once it's the right temperature, we head onto the patio a little far back from everyone so that all of the little kids running around wouldn't bump me or her.

Kiera downed this bottle pretty quickly.

I kept my eyes on her as I placed her empty bottle down and transferred her into a different position over my shoulder so that I could burp her. Once she was set, I began to gently pat her back and look around at my surroundings.

I looked around at the relaxed friend and family gathering when I felt someone staring at me.

I looked in the direction of where the person was, and my eyes locked with him.

I don't know what to do. Do I get up with Kiera and leave.

Or do I confront the man that left me high and dry when I told him that I was pregnant.

The man who denied our baby when he knows that he's the only person I've slept with.

We maintain awkward and heavy eye contact as I continue to burp my baby.

He slowly starts to come up to me and I become nervous because I haven't seen him in 10 months .

Almost a year. What could he possibly have to say to me.

He sits at the table in the chair across from me.

This whole time, we never lost eye contact, and I never stopped burping Kiera.

He's about to speak when he's cut off by little burps.

I look down at my baby and smile. "Good girl," I say.

I slide her down a bit on my chest so that she's more comfortable. I know that she is because of the way that she nuzzles her head into my chest.

I rub her back because I know that always relaxes her.

I then look back up to see Kelly's eyes with that glint that I use to see as he looked at Kiera.

He looked back up into my eyes and after a minute of silence he spoke to me for the first time in 10 months.

"Hi."
