"D'Angelo..." I trial off.

"Look mom, it's a lot to explain..."

"MOM?!" Maiya looks in between Jason and D'Angelo. "You lied to me, you told me she was your sister," she shouts.

"Oh no boo, I'm their mother. You still wanted me to whoop your ass before I get to them?"

She smacks her lips and then looks around with wide eyes.

"Now what the fuck is going on?" I ask.

"Kiana just sit down for a minute," Mikey lowly says.

"Don't tell me what to do," I roll my eyes. "Now talk,"

"Well mom, this is my fiancée," D'Angelo walks around the table to grab her hand.

"I'm confused,"

"She was on the phone last night. I was inviting her over here again cause we were gonna figure out how to tell you," Jason said.

"Again? So you've had her in my house before?"

"Yeah, I was gonna have to meet her eventually,"

"So you knew that your brother was engaged and you didn't tell me?"

"It's not like that mom,"

"Then what is it like Jason. You and your brother have been lying to me for how long?"

I step closer to D'Angelo as he mumbles something underneath his breath.

"What?"

"Six months, and it's not like dad didn't know too," he shrugs.

I immediately charge towards Mikey, and scream out I when I feel D'Angelo pick me up.

"So all of y'all have been lying to me? For what?"

"Mom you never like any of the girls that we bring home. That's why I didn't tell you," D'Angelo let's go of me.

"And you think that I'm gonna like them when you randomly pop up engaged to one," I tilt my head.

"I'm sorry,"

"I'm not dealing with this,"

I start cleaning up the dishes as a million thoughts flood my head.

My oldest son was engaged and didn't even wanna tell me.

My youngest and my husband knew about it and didn't even bother to tell me.

They'd been lying to me for 6 months...

"Babe, let me talk to you real quick,"

"No leave me alone,"

"Just come in the living room so we can talk like adults. Always wanna be so damn stubborn all the time," he storms out of the kitchen.

"What?" I plop down onto the couch.

"I wanted to apologize for everything that I said last night. I didn't know that you were D'Angelo and Jason's mother," she narrowed her eyes at them. "If I would've known, then I wouldn't have disrespected you like that," she flashes a fake smile.
