~☾︎ The Case Of Akaashi Keiji ☽︎~

3rd person POV

Lately Akaashi has been disappearing to some mysterious place.  He doesn't bring friends, he refuses to hang out most times, and he won't tell anyone why.  So Bokuto has brought it upon himself to spy on Akaashi.  It's only recently that Akaashi has been doing "this"-whatever "this" may be.  It's piqued all of the third year's curiosity, and their curiosity is unquenchable.

Bokuto's POV

"Guys, aren't you wondering why Akaashi has been acting differently?" I whine to the rest of the third years.  "Maybe your thinking about it too hard Bokuto," Konoha points out.  He obviously doesn't get it.  "The wierd thing is, Akaashi hasn't been going home though," I mention.  The third years all turn their heads with quizzical faces.  Even Washio.

"How do you know that?" Komi questions, eyebrows quirked in opposite directions.  "I was planning on having Akaashi help me study last week.  But when I went to his house after he wasn't replying to my texts, his mom said that he wasn't home," I inform them.

They look at me somewhat incredulous now.  "See what I mean!  We have to figure this out," I probe.  "Figure what out Bokuto?" Akaashi suddenly chimes in.  I look up to him in shock.  "O-oh, Akaashi!  Heyyyyyy," I say.  He gives me a monotonous but suspicious look.  And the others notice.  "Don't worry about it, we were all just struggling with a problem from our math homework and decided to talk about it," Konoha smoothly replies.  "Alright.  I hope that is all because we need to start practice now Bokuto-san," Akaashi says, believing us.

"Okay, we'll be right there," Komi reassures him.  I sweat bullets in relief.  I couldn't think of anything good; I can never seem to come up with good excuses when Akaashi asks about something.  "Let's follow him tonight, and see where he goes," Sarukui suggests for the first time, returning to our previous conversation.  My face brightens up instantly with the fact of them wanting to settle this case.

"Maybe it won't be such a bad idea?" Komi says.  "So, are all of us going then?" I ask while pumping my fists up and down.  "I can't.  I have a family dinner tonight," Washio tells us.  We all nod in understanding.  "Anybody else already have plans then?" I try again.  Sarukui, Konoha, and Komi shake their heads.  "Alright, it's settled then!  The case of Akaashi has begun!" I whisper shout to the five of us.

"You mean after practice, right?" Komi points out.  I look at him blankly, processing his words.  "Oh yeah, after practice," I sulk.  I really have to wait through our entire practice to solve Akaashi's case?  Uggg, I want to do it right now though!

We all start to head over to the court after finishing our stretches.  As I continue my sulking, the four third years that I call my teammates give me a small thumbs up trying to encourage me.  "Alright!  Let's make this practice a good one!" I shout with renewed enthusiasm.  We're going to figure Akaashi out no matter what.

After practice~

We've been following Akaashi ever since he left the school grounds in the opposite direction of his house.  We make sure to keep a good enough distance, but we still keep him in sight.  So when Akaashi enters a maid cafe, we halt our movements.  "We can't go in there!  He'll notice us instantly!" I panic.  The other three put their hands on their chins and think.

"Let's just act like we decided to come here for fun," Komi suggests.  "Oh, yeah!  We can act like we totally weren't following Akaashi!  Then if anything, he'll get caught red-handed," Konoha adds.  I stare at them in amazement of their creativity.  "Well, let's go in then," Sarukui says, portraying a serene individual.
