~☾︎ Yuu Finds A Pretty Flower ☽︎~

I walked through the sparse wave of cherry blossom leaves, trying not to inhale any as I powered my way to school.  It was only the second week of my second year and I woke up late; on a Monday at that.  My teachers sure wouldn't be happy about that.  It's always the late-sleepers that attract the unfair attention of teachers.  I stopped at a crosswalk, begging the lights to change so I could cross safely.

As I was waiting, I noticed a boy with a different school uniform on the other side of the street.  He was short and had a small portion of his hair dyed in the front.  He flicked his neck from side to side, observing the street before he illegally bolted down the crosswalk.  My jaw dropped as he landed next to me, panting lightly.  I blink a few times, trying to process the reasons why he would go through such lengths just to cross the street.

"Are you an idiot or something!?" I finally stress, questioning the boy.  His head perks up, staring at me dumbfoundedly.  He holds my gaze, trying to read the emotion in my eyes.  "You're a lot prettier up close," he mutters, taking a step closer.  I blush, my brows furrowing in surprise and befuddlement.  "Do you realize that you could have just been killed?" I try to avert his previous comment.

"I took that into deep consideration.  And if it meant that I died closer to you then it would be worth it," he says vigorously honestly.  At this point I'm completely caught up in his fascination with me and miss my chance to cross the street.  "I'm nothing special, your life is more valuable," I pout.  I catch him blushing, and he doesn't seem to know what to do with my opinion.  "Well a pretty flower such as yourself should be admired up close," he smoothly flirts.

It's my turn to blush and I avert my gaze, still pouting.  I just then realize that I'm still running late for class.  "Can I have your number?" I ask suddenly.  He fumbles with his words before I shove my phone into his hands.  He types quickly, handing me back my device.  I move around him towards the sidewalk.  "I'll text you and we can meet up later!" I call out as I cross the street.  I slip into a run to get to school, leaving the starstruck boy behind.
