AS THE WORLD TURNS

As the world turns, and the canopy of heaven journeys with me
There is not a moment to waste, the skyline is bright and breezy
But the trees are so quiet this morning, I think they're mourning
After the red cock, reminded all of the fast clock, with his calling

As the world turns, the old people pass away and the young grow
There is not a chance for tears, opportunity's still alive tomorrow
And every thing is moving on, to where they may be, sand or sea
Shadows casting upon dreams, soaking in the milky way galaxy

As the world turns, and eternity is dancing under the far moon
There's no need to fear dark nights, approaching is the afternoon
But the wind among the trees with their voices so far, is freezing
And in the hope of heart, gloom and light, sunlight is still blazing

As the world turns, loneliness gently creeps forth from the seaside
And over the grass, commanding peace in the air to fare and hide
There's no path for sorrow, the things of heart are a mortal dream
Till time be no more, and will's still, I lay worries upon a light beam.
