Baby Raphie

Part 13

He sat down at his desk and let Raph play with his plastron for a while until Donnie decided that he needed a blood sample from Raph to go any further in his experiments on how to change him back.

"D. D. Owie." (Raph)

Raph points to his small finger which has a spot of blood on the tip.

"Raph ! How'd you do that ?" (Donnie)

Raph points to a chipped area of Donnie's plastron he was playing with a second ago and Donnie nods his head and went to get a test plate and wiped some of Raph's blood onto it and put it with his experiment stuff. Then went over to the drawer, still sitting in the chair, and got Raph a bandaid and wrapped it around the small finger.

"There ya go Raphie." (Donnie)

Donnie then looks at Raph's face and he looks sad.

"Raphie what's wrong ?" (Donnie)

"Weo owie ?" (Raph)

Donnie thought about what Raph might have meant by that and finally understood.

"Oh, Leo. No Raphie Leo doesn't have an owie but he's sick. So I don't want you near him so you can't get sick too." (Donnie)

"Weo." (Raph)

"I know Raphie. I know."

Donnie hugs Raph and Raph pushes Donnie off and runs out of the lab.

"Raph !!! Wait !!!" (Donnie)

Donnie runs after Raph and automatically knows where Raph's headed.

"WEEEEOOOO !!!!" (Raph)

"RAPH !!!!!" (Donnie)

Raph runs into Leo's room and into Leo's arms and cried hysterically into his plastron.

"R-Raphie what's w-wrong ?" (Leo)

"D-D n-no We-o."

"Donnie w-wouldn't let you c-come in h-here." (Leo)

Raph nodded as tears streamed down his tiny cheeks.

All the crying and movement woke Mikey too and Mikey saw Raph and reached out to grab him.

"I'll get him Leo..." (Mikey)

"WEOOOO !!!" (Raph)

Raph starts crying so hard He's hyperventilating and Leo gets mad.

"MIKEY LET GO !!! Now !!" (Leo)

Mikey lets go and sits up in the bed and looks at Leo and Raph as Raph continues to hyperventilate and Leo tries to calm him down.

Leo pressed Raph to his chest and rubs circles on Raph's shell soothing him.

Then as Raph calms down but is still crying Donnie comes in.

"Is Raph in...RAPH !!! I'll get him Leo..." (Donnie)

Donnie tries to grab Raph from Leo but Leo slaps his hand away.

"Don't touch him." (Leo)

"Ok, but Leo, you're sick. I don't think it's a good idea that Raph's with you he could get sick too and..." (Donnie)

Leo puts his hand up to stop Donnie from continuing and Donnie sighs in defeat.

"Fine, but when I'm taking care of both of you when you're sicker than sick, don't blame me." (Donnie)

"Ok Donnie." (Leo)

Raph sits up, still with Leo's hands holding on to him so he doesn't fall, and looks at Donnie frowning.

"I Sawy D. D." (Raph)

"It's ok Raphie." (Donnie)

Then Donnie leaves and Mikey, Leo and Raph take a three hour nap and Raph wakes up hungry.

Mikey picks Raph up and walks to the baby changing table and changes Raph's diaper. Then walks back to Leo and helps him up since he was warm now and feeling a lot better. Once Leo was up, Raph basically jumped into his arms and hugged him.

"Let's get you something to eat Raphie." (Leo)

They walk to the kitchen and Leo sat down at the table with Raph in his lap and Mikey went to the cabinet to get a jar of baby food.

"How about...banana ?" (Mikey)

Leo and Raph exchange looks of 'maybe not' with each other then back in Mikey's direction.

"I think Raphael would enjoy apple cinnamon more than banana Michelangelo." (Splinter)

MS walks into the kitchen and over towards Raph and Leo.

Raph starts bouncing in Leo's lap and clapping his small hands together and smiling.

"Mini !! Mini !!" (Raph)

"Mini ?" (Mikey)

"Cinnamon. Raphael may not have the most extensive vocabulary but he certainly tries." (Splinter)

MS pats Raph on the head and gets a spoon out of the drawer and put his hand out towards Mikey who was holding the baby food jar.

"May I ?" (Splinter)

"Of course Sensei." (Mikey)

MS takes the jar and spoon and sits across from Leo and Raph.

Leo sets Raph on the table and holds his tiny waist so he doesn't move or fall while MS feeds him.

After MS feeds Raphie, and they give him a minute to digest the food, Leo and Mikey take him to change his diaper in Leo's room. 

When they changed his diaper, they went to the living room and Donnie finally woke up and came out of his bedroom and walked right to his lab and shut the doors without saying a word.

"Well that was weird." (Mikey)

"Well you know Donnie when he's determined." (Leo)

"Fuzzy !! Fuzzy !!" (Raph)

"Don't cry Raphie." (Mikey)

Mikey runs to Leo's room and gets Raphie's Fuzzy and comes back and gives it to him and the tears automatically stop.

"Fuzzy." (Raph)

Raph snuggles into the blanket and into Leo's plastron then sits up and looks at the dojo.

He reaches his arms out to the dojo and Mikey and Leo exchange confused looks.

"Dayee." (Raph)

"I think he wants MS." (Leo)

Then Leo took Raph into the dojo and Mikey followed.

MS was sitting in the middle of the dojo meditating.

"MS I think Raph wants you." Leo says and Mikey sits down with Leo in front of MS and Raph gets down from Leo's arms and hobbles to MS and MS holds him and he smiles and starts gurgle talking to him.

"I think he wants to talk to you MS." Mikey giggles and MS nods his head in agreement and Donnie walks in and goes over to baby Raph and takes a cotton swab and Raph doesn't like it but Donnie opens his mouth anyway and takes a swab.

"Sorry Raph, I needed that to help you." (Donnie)

Raph starts crying hysterically and MS holds him so he's laying on his shoulder and MS hushes him and Raph starts to calm down.

"Shhhhhh, you are alright Raphael, be calm now my small child." (MS)

Raph is now calm and he starts sucking on his thumb.
