"Gloria! I never asked you how your first day was yesterday! So how was it?" I ask.

My sister looks at me with luke-warm expression. "I met some people, I got to know the feel of the school. But nothing particularly interesting happened."

"Oh? I get that. Who'd you meet?"

"Chase Brody and Virgil Sanders."

"Those are definitely two people you wanna keep close."

"How would you know, have you met them?"

"Nah, but all of the Sanders brothers are chill, I don't think that one is any different. Also, Jameson has told me a little about Chase, he's a good kid."

"Well, they seem nice so far. Chase is really kind, and Virgil is a realist, but he's still nice."

I nodded. "That sounds about right."

Just then, Mary walked in with a small stack of paper, she slammed them down on the table. "This is a list of all the events we can report on this year."

I took the stack and flipped through. "Wow! The News club is gonna be busy!"

"Yeah," agreed Mary. "But this year we're all going to be on the club, it's gonna be epic!'

"We'll produce the best news!" Gloria exclaimed.

"The fastest news!" Mary added.

"The most news!" I finished.

We all sightly beamed, thinking about the stories to come.

"We are going to the best News club ever!" I said. "Mary doing photography, Gloria doing the writing, Oopsie doing interviews, and me doing the newscasting."

Oopsie walked into the room at that moment. "I agree, Poppy. We're going to kill it this year!"

"Well then, let's get started."

With our remaining twenty minutes before we needed to drive to school, we planned out the club.

This year was going to be my most successful one yet.
