I opened the door to hear my Father, Sean, talking to My mother, Stacy. "Please, bring him to visit, it's been weeks! Jameson and Chase need to see him, they miss him."

Even though the call wasn't on speakerphone, I heard my Mom's reply just fine. "No! You just want me to come back, don't drag Henrik into this."

I sighed and slammed the door behind me. I waved as pasted my father, then bolted to my room.

In my room, I tossed my backpack on my bed and grumbled, "Stupid divorce." I got my phone from my pocket to see a missed call from Henrik.

I called back, and he answered on the first ring. "Hey dude," I greeted.

"Hey. Is Dad on the phone with Mom?"

"Yup. Sounds pretty heated."

He sighed, "Yeah, I can hear her from the other side of the house. I wish she'd let me see you guys."

"Me too. All this isn't good on Dad. I saw four vodka bottles in the trash this week."

"Oh no. I'll try to talk her into letting me visit."

"Okay, man."

"Oh, I gotta go, dude! Talk to you later?"

"Of course." I hung up. Stupid divorce, stupid Mom. Why'd she go and leave? Dad has never done anything wrong, and neither have we. So why? I buried my head in my hands.

Finally, someone knocked on my door. "Yeah?" I called.

No response. It was Jameson.

"Come in."

He entered my room and looked me up and down with a concerned stare.

I looked up at him. "I'm fine. I just miss the family being together."

He nodded in agreement. I think it will all get better soon, he signed.

"I hope so because everything's falling apart. Dad's breaking, I'm breaking."

Recently, my world seemed to be full of more grays and blacks than it had been. Virgil brought his purple, and Gloria brought her red, but it wasn't enough. The color was still fading.

Is there anything I can do? Jameson's eyebrows were furrowed with worry.

"No. I'll be okay." Why am I lying to him? I guess I don't want to be worried about me...

Jameson left as silently as he came.

With a sigh, I slipped my headphones on and listened to Chop Suey by System Of A Down. The song brought comfort, relief, but little of it. One tear slipped, then another.

How many people were going to leave me? First Mom and Henrik. Now, slowly but surely my Father was leaving me to get to the bottom of a bottle. Jameson was going off to college in a year.

That would leave just me. Just thinking about it made me lonely.

I listened to song after song as I tried to relieve some of my worries. It didn't leave, and I ended up drifting off to sleep instead.

And even my sleep was troubled.

Author's notes: I feel like I should explain Septic egos' family tree. I split Jacksepticeye into two people, Sean and Jack. Sean is the father of Henrik, Jameson, and Chase. I did this because those three are the egos without powers, and Sean is just a regular dude. Anti, Marvin, and Jackie are Jack's sons because Jack is almost like an ego himself (If that makes sense). Robbie isn't related to anyone, simply because he's dead.
