"What did you think of the cookies, Patton?" I asked during our daily facetime.

Patton gushed, "I think they were fantastic. You make them better than I do!"

"I hear jealously. I smell it through the screen, too," I laughed.

"That's probably not the only thing your smelling..."

A moment of silence passed, and we both burst out laughing. At that moment, a knock sounded at my door. My laughter was cut short as I wondered, who could that be?  "Give me a minute, Pattie, someone just knocked at my door."

"Why? It's already eight-thirty, a little late for an evening visit."

"You're right. Just wait a second." I set my phone on the couch then slowly approached the door.

"Be careful!" He called.

I chuckled, "I will, Pattie." I opened the door to reveal Anti and Dark, except, they looked way different.

Anti had long canines and long pointed elf ears. One eye was inky black with a green iris. The other was normal. He had wicked, long claws. The glitches around him were more active than usual.

Dark's skin was grey, a far cry from its usual tan. His outline was blue and red. The shadows around him swarmed, and when he spoke, his voice reverberated. "Hello, Robbie. Would you mind if we had a look around?"

"W-what are you guys doing here?" I questioned. "A-and, no, you may not !"

"Too bad," pouted Anti. He looked at Dark, then back at me. "But we weren't asking." He shoved past me into the living room. He looked about. "Cozy little place you got here." He looked back at me with a wicked grin, "Let's see what else ya got." He exited the room.

I looked over at Dark, then at my phone, at Dark, to my phone. "Patton!" I called.

"Yes?" He returned.

Dark's shadows weaved around me and covered my mouth. I tried to speak, but my voice was muffled. No, no, no, no. I'm not safe. I'm not safe. Help me, Patton.

"Robbie? Where'd you go?" He waited, then continued, "If you don't say something soon, I'm going to worry."

Dark walked over to the phone, making sure he was out of view, and pressed the 'end call' button.

For a few moments, it was silent, until my phone began ringing.

"That's really fucking annoying." Dark picked it up and chucked it against the wall as hard as he could. A hole was left in the wall and I could tell my phone would never recover.

Anti returned, with a sharp kitchen knife in hand. "You really take good care of your knives, Robbie," He ran a finger along the blade, leaving a cut that oozed black blood on his finger. "It's been sharpened recently."

My eyes widened as I scrambled onto the couch. I shook my head, silently pleading they would leave me be.

That wasn't going to happen. Anti took approached me, growing more menacing with each stride. He leaned down until he was level with me, took the blade, and ran it swiftly down my cheek.

The cut was semi-deep, so the pain was bearable. All the flailing and screaming I did afterward was due to a steady release of control. I could feel it, the humanity draining out of me, and what it was replaced with. Hunger.

After another swift slice from Anti, I lost it completely. Incoherent thoughts turned into just this: Eat them, eat them, eat them. Tear them apart, do it. Do it. Do it! I lunged at Anti, resulting in him tumbling over. I pinned him to the ground, ready to devour that demonic-looking face of his.
