Las Vegas, Nevada/ One Month Later
3rd Person P.O.V- It was a major shock to friends, family and fans alike that Zak Bagans had been injured, let alone killed while on an investigation. It was an even bigger shock to learn that him and Nick Groff were married and they have a daughter together. After the initial shock wore off, they nearly died of shock all over again when they all found out that Nick would be running the Museum with the help of the Crew, while their daughter Briar would be the new GA Leader. It came out in multiple Twitter posts and tv interviews that Nick was stepping back from investigating, while Briar and boyfriend Dakota Laden would be taking over.
Nick- All the news was talking about lately is the death of my husband and it was grating on my nerves. (Growls Lowly) Picking up the remote, I shut the tv off and then toss the remote to the side as I continue to check off new items for the Museum and file the paperwork.
Billy- Walking into the office Nick is growling and tossing the tv remote across the desk.
Aaron- Sitting on the couch. "What did the remote do to you?"
Nick- Barely glancing up. "Nothing."
Aaron- (Nods) "Right."
Billy- Jay and I sit in the two chairs across from where Nick is working. "So what has you in a mood?"
Nick- Setting my pen down as I rub at my stinging eyes. "The truth?" All three nod. (Sighs) "Almost every tv and radio station is covering Zak's death. It's getting on my nerves. It's been a month, let the man rest in peace and for fucks sake leave me an my daughter alone!"
Jay- We could tell Nick was slowly loosing his composure, he was trying so hard to keep it together and not lose it. "Brother you need to allow yourself to grieve."
Nick- Looking at Jay almost scandalized.
Jay- As a Warlock and having the ability to read his emotions, he needed an anchor they were all over the place. "You need to allow yourself the time properly grieve or you're gonna completely lose it."
Nick- (Sighs Heavily) "I know." I run my finger through my hair in a nervous manor. "I'm just worried about Briar, you guys, Kat and Rob, this place..."
Aaron- (Smiles) "Kat has been fine, she's been seeking comfort from me and uh we started officially dating."
Billy- Before Nick can interrupt, I pick up where Aaron left off. "I'm good, Rob is good, been working on his music as well as helping Aaron, Katrina and Jay run the Gift Shop and give tours."
Aaron- (Blushes) "That's what I forgot, Kat's been giving tours here when she isn't working with her band or investigating."
Jay- I don't give Nick the chance to say anything just yet either. "I'm good as well, between working on my own music and working here, plus investigating. Keeping busy is helping us to cope and heal."
Katrina- (Giggles) I couldn't help but to quickly add something once I knew Jay was finished. "And don't you go worrying about Briar she is doing quite well filling in the shoes of her daddies as well as is more than happy with her boyfriend."
Nick- I listen to them silently. (Smiles Fondly) "Alright, you all win. I need to stop worrying and give myself sometime to properly heal." They all look at me with bright, devious eyes. "What did you guys do?"
Billy- We all share the same bemused look. "Well we kinda checked you into a really nice hotel that's got a spa."
Nick- Looking at them far from amused. "You did what?"
Katrina- "You need this Nick, please go, we have things handled here."
Nick- (Sighs) I knew that I've been beat, plus I knew they were right. "Fine, this place better be standing when I get back."
Billy- (Smiles Brightly) "It will be, we promise!"

(Four Hours Later)
Nick- Getting settled into the hotel, I spent two hours at the gym and then an hour at the spa. As monumentally relaxing as it was, it wasn't what I needed, not really. Back in my room I spend thirty minutes soaking in the jetted tub and get out an redressed as I head out to the cemetery down the road. (Hums Softly) Walking through the all too familiar gate, I easily find my husbands headstone and fall to my knees finally letting all my walls down, allowing myself to grieve and to heal. (Mutters Lowly) "Zachary, you have left me with a near spitting image of you that it's heart wrenching." Taking a deep breath as tears fall heavily staining the marble stone beneath my hands. (Breaths Heavily) "I miss you and I love you oh so much." Running my fingers through my hair. "We'll see you again and until then we will continue the work you have started." Venting all the pent up stress that has been suffocating me this past month, makes me cry in relief as I feel this rather playful energy that's just overwhelmingly positive and filled with love.
