Chapter 23

Annie's Pov 

All of a sudden the only sound you could hear in the room was the loud and fast beeping of Hayden's heart monitor.

"Hayden you need to take deep breaths and try and calm down." Mads said calmly.

"That's easy for you to say," Hayden said, ''You're not the reason Indi isn't waking up."

"Hayden it's not your fault." Carson said.

"Yes it is." Hayden said. "I'm the one who was driving."

"Hayden relax." I told him.

A couple of nurses run into Hayden's room. We quickly moved out of the way. The lady had a needle and put it into his right arm.

"What are you doing?" I asked

"Giving him something to calm down." One of the nurses said.

Hayden soon calmed down and then his eyes closed.

The other nurse said "He's just gonna take a nap."

Then the same doctor that we had met in the waiting room walks in.

"So Indiana still hasn't woken up but you're all welcome to see her."

We all said yes and followed the Doctor into Indiana's room. She was laying on the hospital bed cuts and bruises on her face, arms and legs. She had an iv and wires everywhere, even a breathing tube.

Tears began to fall from my eyes again.

"Do you have any idea what's going on?" Mads asked.

"it's a coma she took the most injuries in the wreck." He said

"How long before she wakes up?" Carson asked.

"We're not sure. We'll just have to keep tabs on her and wait and see." The doctor says.

An hour or two later we all left. We was all in Mads car.

" I'm gonna come visit again tomorrow." Mads said.

"Yea we will too." Carson said, looking at me.

I nodded my head in agreement. Mads parked the car and we walked to our dorms which were down the hall from each other. We said goodbye and Carson and I walked into our room. We made Mac and cheese for dinner then after we ate we got changed. I went and laid down in my bed. And then fell asleep.
