Patapon: The Return of the Hero

Chapter 3: The Journey (Part 1)

The day of Departure....

"Are we guys ready?", Hatapon asked them. "Yeah", Kan replied. "Be careful on the way.", Meden warned them in a worried voice. "We will Lady Meden!", Ton replied to her with a cheerful voice. "Don't worry Meden. Nothing bad will gonna happen to us. So please, can you look after the kingdom Meden?", Princess asked her.   She nodded and then Princess smiled. "Okay then, let's go!", Hatapon shouted. "Yeah!", they all replied with excitement in their voices.

They walked away from the Kingdom Gates and then waved one last goodbye to them. They started to walk past the Patapon Training Grounds and then as soon as they stepped foot at the Field of Angry Giants, their atmosphere suddenly changed. "I can see 2 Cyclops up ahead. We have to be careful when fighting them. I will provide you support here.", Kan told them. "Okay, I will fight alongside with Ton and Chin, can you defend and hold the frontline?", Princess asked him. Chin nodded and then Princess commenced battle.

Kan started to draw her bow while Chin charged forward to hold the line.  While Ton is charging up, Princess started to use some of the basic spells Kan thought her. "Volcano!", she shouted while waving her hand. Suddenly a flame burst from the ground. It's little but it managed to lit the Cyclop. The Cyclop shouted in pain as it was lighted with fire. Then at the same time, Ton started to throw his spear to the enemy while Kan shooted nonstop on the Cyclop. Chin started to attack the Cyclop and it fell to the ground. And then Princess dealt the final blow. "FLASH CRACK BOOM!", she shouted again while waving her hand. Suddenly a flash of lightning struck the Cyclop. It lay dead  on the ground.

Hatapon was shocked during and after the battle. 'When did the Princess learned that?', he thought to himself. When they started to fight the other Cyclop, he was baffled again by the Princess. She knows how to use a crossbow! 'Impossible! No one can shoot that accurate when using the crossbow. Just what Kan and Your Highness did these past few days?'

After the Battle.....
Kan started to walk towards Hatapon and asked, "So, what did you think about Princess' ability on magic and her physical attributes?" "It's quite good actually! What kind of special training did you used to train her?", he asked Kan with a curious tone in his voice. "Just the basics. Like some of my Oohoroc spells and her accuracy with a crossbow. We trained for 8 days and she managed to master all of them in just 6 days! Even though her spells are not powerful like mine and her damage is not that great, her determination exceed than what I expected.", she answered on his question. "Oh, is that so?" "Yes." "Okay.....", he said with disappointment in his voice.

"W-well, there are some moments that she almost gave up! So don't worry. Maybe someday, we can teach you how to fight Hatapon. And maybe you can exceed Chin in strength and endurance!", Kan reassured Hatapon.  "Okay!"

They started to walk towards their camping ground. "Whatcha cookin' Ton?", Chin asked Ton. "Well I'm cooking a "King Stew" for us. Like the one Rah Gashapon and Simmer Slurp always cooking when we have celebrations.", he answered him cheerfully. "Hey,  what's that smell?" Kan asked them. "Hey Kan! We're cooking "King Stew" for dinner.", Princess told her with a smile. "WAIT,  DID I HEAR THAT RIGHT!? "KING STEW?!", Hatapon asked them with a shocked face. They all nodded and then Hatapon shouted excitedly and quickly took his seat. "Let's eat up! We need to replenish our energy for the journey!", Princess told them. They all replied "Yes!" and then started to eat.

And so for 3 months, they travel the same path that the Heroes of the Patapon Clan had traveled. Every evening, Kan will summon a pigeon and Princess will attach the message and info about their situation. And after two days, they will get a reply from the Kingdom. And after a ferocious battle against the re-summoned version of Arch Pandara, "The Other Vessel", they walk towards the exit and then saw portal to Earthend. When Princess saw it with her own eye, she was entranced with it's beauty. Yet Chin felt something different about the place. "I feel like there is someone watching us right now..", Chin said mysteriously. "You're right. We aren't alone here.", Ton added. They saw someone glancing at them behind a tree. "Don't worry, we aren't enemies. So please, can you come out?, Hatapon asked the stranger.

The frightened stranger came out from the tree. They were shocked. It was a Patapon! But it had some strange marks all over it's head and it has a huge scarf behind him and a scar beside his eye.

The Patapon looked at them and asked, "Who are you?"

A/N: This part of the story will be cut into 3 parts.  The first is this. Their departure and the journey towards Earthend. The second part is about the strange Patapon and the discovery of their old enemy. You have to guess the 3rd part. So please, just wait for the second part of this arc.
