Patapon: The Return of the Hero

Chapter 13: Explanations

Previously on Patapon: The Return of the Hero:
Sonarchy tried to invade the Patapon Kingdom with his newly recruited army. But he was easily defeated by our Heroes!
Or so it seems......

A new enemy appeared in front of our Heroes. Her name is Aliza, the other half of our deceased Uberhero, Hero. She proclaims that the Patapons must be wiped out.

While tending their wounds and coping up with their defeat, Renki told his friends about what happened after he woke up in Earthend. After telling them that he was attacked by Aliza, he also told them that he already recovered his memories.

Afterwards, Princess suddenly called a meeting with all of the Patapons that was involved when they were going to look for Renki. She told them that they had to take out Aliza before dispelling the Archfiends once more. Though they had a little problem. Renki argued that Aliza is impossible to defeat since she has high agility and speed and she is invulnerable to any kinds of magic.

Though Princess and Kan had presented two gemstones that can be used to enchant a weapon. Both stones have the magic to disrupt Aliza's mana points and disable her high agility and speed skills.

Suddenly they receive a invitation from Aliza. She challenge our Patapon Heroes on a battle with them. The final showdown before dispelling the Archfiends again.

Present:
After the meeting.....
"Hey Princess?", Renki shyly called her. "Hm?" Princess looked at Renki and asked him, "What is it?" He sighed and replied, "Can we talk in my room?" Princess nodded and followed Renki into his room.

"Hey Kan? Did you saw Renki?", Chin asked. "I think I saw Renki went to his room with Princess.", she replied while checking her list to do. "With Princess? Why?", he asked again. Kan just shrugged. Chin sighed and decided to take a peek in Renki's room to see what are they doing.

Princess entered the room with Renki. His room looks like the average room you see everyday. It is plain and very clean. She went to sat down on his bed. "So? What did you wanted to talk about?", she asked him. Renki sat down on the window sill beside his bed.

Chin quietly kneel down outside of Renki's room, making sure that he won't be noticed. 'I wonder.... What are they talking about?', he asked himself.

"*sigh.......* It's about..... Hero.....", he said before sighing again. Princess suddenly looked surprised when he heard Hero's name. "What about him?", she asked while tilting her head. "I'll continue my explanation earlier.", he replied before he stood up from the window sill and sitting on the floor. "Okay, here we go."

"Hero.... cannot be resurrected."
"W-what?", she asked confusingly. "He can no longer be resurrected." he repeated. "Why? Isn't Hero have a resurrecting power that he can revive over and over?", she asked. Renki shooked his head in denial. "No. Hero sacrificed his soul to save the Patapons. Uberheroes can't be revived if they used their souls to make a miracle happen.", he explained calmly. "T-then..... What are you? What is your purpose Renki?", Princess asked while looking a bit shocked.

"That is my same question for my self too...."

"What?"

"I don't know what is my purpose or the reason why am I here. I know for sure that Hero reincarnated himself which is me. But, I don't know what is the purpose of my reincarnation....", Renki replied while looking a bit down.

"You lied that Hero can be resurrected?", she asked him. He nodded. "*sigh.....* Looks like Silver Hoshipon was right......", she whispered. "What do you mean by that?", he asked confusingly. "I also have an explanation. You were wondering why do I have two gemstones that have a capability to disrupt a Relic's mana and physical attributes, right?", she asked. "Yeah....."
"Okay, the reason why do I have that high powered gemstones is because..."

===Flashback===
"Silver Hoshipon, can you come down here?", Princess asked. Silver Hoshipon flew down to Princess' height and asked, "What is it, Your Highness?" "Can we make a deal?", she asked while smiling. "It depends, Your Highness. What is the deal all about?", he replied in his old man tone.

"Can you please tell me how to make the two gemstones for the spell, 'Forbidden Disruptor of the Heavens'? And also tell me, can Hero be resurrected? In exchange for that, I will be the one will make the gemstones and train Renki.", she explained calmly.

"It's a deal. Okay, here's the recipe for that spell.", Silver Hoshipon replied while pulling out from his pocket the formula for the spell. "And also about Hero. I can only say this. He cannot be resurrected.", he added. "W-wh-whaaat?!", she replied in a shocking manner. "How and why?!", she added. "Renki will have to explain that for you. You must wait until he is ready.", Silver Hoshipon said in wise tone.

"Okay......"

===End of Flashback===

"So you ask Silver Hoshipon yourself about Hero?", Renki asked. "Yep..... I doubt you whether you were truly the Relic of the Hero.", Princess replied while looking a bit embarrassed. "But now, I think you were right. Hero will never come back to us again. But because of that sacrifice, we gained a new ally and friend." "Who?", he asked while looking a bit confused.

Princess then hugged Renki. "Of course it's you Renki.", she replied while closing her eye. Renki blushed a bit. It was his first time being hugged by someone who cared about him.

Chin was outside, looking a bit shocked and confident. 'So Hero is never gonna come back, huh.... But we have gained a new ally.', he thought to himself. He smiled a bit before standing up and walked back to the barracks. 'That's fine by me. I'll help Renki find his purpose. He helped us a lot. So it's our turn to help him.'
