Chapter 10: The Meeting of the two Relics

~The next day~
"*yawn* Good Morning, Kan....", Renki drowsily said while walking into the dining room. "Oh, hey Renki. Wow, you look like you came from a nightmare horse ride from Ton.", Kan jokingly said while smiling a bit. "I'm still a bit sleepy. I stayed up all night to study about magic.", he said while yawning again and sitting down.

"So who's the one cooking breakfast again?", he asked. ".......Meden...", Kan mumbled underneath her breath. "What?", he asked confusingly. "She said it was Lady Meden.", Hatapon said behind him. "Oh good morning Hatapon!", Renki smiled cheerily. Suddenly there was loud thud. They both look and saw that Kan felled into the ground while her nose is bleeding.

"What the hell, Kan? You're so loud this morning...", Chin said while appearing from the kitchen. "Oh good morning Chin. Um, mind if I ask something?", Renki asked him with a confused tone. "Sure, what is it?"

"What the hell is that thing you're holding on?!" Renki pointed at the plate he was holding.

On top of each plate laid a monstrosity that cannot be explained. The food looks a face that is crying out in pain and agony. Hatapon and Kan looked at the food and asked, "The fr*ck is this?" "My! What are you seeing right now is the most fascinating and most wonderful masterpiece I have created!", Meden said while coming out from the kitchen.

"Masterpiece? You're calling this pile of mud a 'masterpiece'? It looks like a face that is being tortured.", Kan said while having a 'Are you kidding with me right now face'. "Um, can I ask something. What are you supposedly cooking again Lady Meden?", Hatapon asked Meden. "Potato and meat", she replied. "Doesn't look like potato and meat for me.", Kan said with a disbelief tone in her voice.

"The appearance doesn't matter. What matters is the content and flavor.", Renki stated while looking thoroughly at the food. "I'll try tasting it.", he added. "No, don't-!" Kan tried to warn her but it was too late. Renki already putted the spoon in his mouth.

The moment Renki tasted it, he suddenly felt a sharp sensation through his spine. The food tasted like unclean toenails that is dipped from expired gravy. It was......

"DISGUTING!!!!"

Renki shouted before passing out. "I rest my case.", Chin said with a smug in his face. "Ehhh...... And I thought it was good combination......", Meden said while pouting. "What combination?", Kan asked curiously. "I have combined the potatoes with expired Predator Pumpkin and the meat with gruel stew!", she replied while smiling. "Lady Meden, this is the last time you're cooking.", Hatapon said while throwing away Meden's cooking into the trash.

~Later in the Barracks~
"My stomach still hurts, Kan", Renki said while holding his stomach. "That's why we never let Meden in the kitchen. Because every time she cooks something, it will turn out like a abomination.", she said before letting out a long sigh. "Anyway, have you seen Princess?", he asked Kan. "Didn't you heard? She went out with Ton this morning to forged something. I don't know anything else about what are they forging or how long will they be out.", Chin replied while wiping off the dust from his blade.

"Oh..... I thought we can have breakfast together.....", Renki said while looking down sadly. His ears are drooped down too. "Don'tcha worry! Maybe tomorrow, you can have breakfast with her!", Kan reassured Renki with a smile on her face. "Okay!", he smiled. Then again, Kan started to nosebleed.
"🎶Oh, how wonderful can this day be!🎶", Kan sing while dancing around the room.

"Bonedeth Army invasion! Bonedeth Army invasion! Bonedeth Army invasion!", a announcer in a watch tower shouted. "So much for the ~how wonderful this day can be~.", Chin jokingly said. "Ugh.... let's just go.", Kan disappointingly said.
