Lacey's POV

Okay! A lot has happened in the past 4 weeks... so let's recap!

Shawn has been in the studio almost everyday trying to plan out a next album.

The baby started kicking like last week! I cried when I felt the first kick. When Shawn felt it he just hugged me for a long time... and cried.

I'm in month 5 of the pregnancy (21 weeks and 2 days)

We have a set wedding date! We're getting married on February 14th. We've been planning non-stop too!

I'm still working and it's going well.

My siblings are still crackheads...

Yeah I think that covers it!

We are also having a gender reveal party tomorrow!

12:32pm

"Lacey. Are you okay? You keep nodding off." Adeline's asks me as we drive to the studio to visit Shawn.

"Yeah... I'm fine. It's just I've barely gotten any sleep since the baby started moving around. It keeps me awake at night." I give an exhausted laugh and Adeline just takes my hand in hers. "I'm just dropping you off, correct?" She asks and I nod. I'm too tired to get behind the wheel.

I finally nod off and about two seconds later Adeline wakes me up. "Before you ask, you got a good ten minutes of sleep." She unlocks the car and smiles. I give her a hug and get out of the car. Before I can close the door Shawn is at my side. "Hey baby." He kisses me and closes the car door for me. "Hey babe, how's planning coming along?" I yawn and lean against him as we walk back inside.

"It's coming along slow... not much progress." He sighs as we enter the studio. I immediately take his jacket off the chair and put it on. "I'm so tired." I feel my eyes well with tears. Shawn leads me to the bean bag and he lays down on it. I sit on his lap, my face in the crook of his neck. I hear Andrew and Brian walk in and I groan.

"Is she okay?" I hear Brian ask and I give a thumbs up. "She hasn't gotten much sleep since the baby started kicking." Shawn explains.

I start to feel myself drift off

5:01pm

"Babe, wake up. We're leaving." Shawn lightly shakes me and I open my eyes. "I haven't slept that well in so long." I yawn out and I get off Shawn. Andrew and Brian left awhile ago but Shawn stayed since I was asleep. "What do you want for dinner? I'm going to have it postmated to the apartment." Shawn gives me his phone and I scroll through the restaurants.

I find Panda Express and click on it. "Panda Express it is!" He puts in my usual order and his and puts his phone away. "Ready to leave?" He asks and I nod. We go out to the Jeep and I hop in. Once we're in I hook my phone up to the Bluetooth. I start to play 5 Seconds of Summer and immediately sing as Valentine comes on. "You are absolutely addicted to this band." Shawn chuckles as we pull onto the highway.

"What can I say, they're amazing!" I exclaim and Shawn just smiles. We rock out to my car jams playlist all the way home.

Once we're home the postmates is at the door. I pick up the back and go inside. I run to the couch and open the bag. "I'm so excited to eat this orange chicken." I tell Shawn who sits down next to me. "Are you excited for the gender reveal tomorrow?" He looks at me with raised eyebrows and I start to squeal. "You have no idea! We're going to find out if it's a boy or girl!" I smile wide, as does Shawn. "Either way I'll love the baby endlessly." Shawn takes my hand in his and I lean my head on his shoulder.

"You're going to be an amazing father." I look up at him and he smiles. "I'm so excited to be a dad. I'm going to love that kid like no other." He pours his heart out which makes me almost cry. "I'm so happy we're finally getting married." I kiss his cheek and he blushes. It makes me happy that he does that every time I kiss him.

We watch Jeopardy as we eat our Panda Express. Don't judge! It's actually a good show!

"Babe, I'm really tired. I'm going to bed." I tell Shawn and as I get up he gets up to. He turns off the tv and walks into the bedroom... okay?

When I walk in he's in his boxers walking to the bathroom. "How did you change so quickly?" I ask appalled. "I've been doing it with you for a long time Lacey! That's why!" I hear him laugh at his own joke. "Oh my god Shawn! Please never tell anyone that joke!" I laugh as I undress and put on one of his t-shirts.

He comes out and walks over to me. "You're breath smells minty." I go to kiss him and he stops me. "Brush your teeth." He scoffs and walks away.... Shawn is in a playful mood. "Fine." I sigh out and walk into the bathroom.

I do my nightly routine and when I walk out Shawn is gone. "Shawn?" I look all over the bedroom but don't see him. I check the rest of the apartment but he's not there. "What the hell?" I whisper to myself as I walk back into the bedroom. Before I can reach the bad Shawn tases me and goes "GAH!"

I scream and jump on the bed. Shawn starts laughing and laughing until he's on the ground. "Shawn!" I throw a pillow at him and he laughs. "You love me." He smirks and stands up. "You're such a goof sometimes." I roll my eyes. Shawn gets on the bed and sits next to me. We sit in silence for about two seconds before he just randomly bumps his shoulder into me.

"Is this some kind of side effect from you not having sex for 5 months or something?" I look at him, trying my best not to laugh. "Lacey why would you ever think that?" He laughs out as he gets under the covers.

"Sometimes I really wonder what goes on inside your head Mendes." I slip under the covers and go to cuddle into Shawn. That's when... you guess it!... the baby starts kicking. I grab Shawn's hand and put it where the baby is kicking. He becomes relax and stares at my baby bump with a small smile spread across his lips.

He scoots his head near the baby bump, hand on still where the baby is kicking, and closes his eyes. This is how he's been falling asleep. I lay there watching him in his relaxed state. Finally soft snores sound from his mouth. "I love you." I whisper and run my hand through his hair.

"And I love you too." I put my hand over Shawn's and look over the bump.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath.

Tonight I'm not letting the baby keep me from sleeping.

I know I already asked this but what do you guys think the gender will be? Boy or Girl?

Also I have a writing plan set up because sadly this story is slowly going to be coming to an end... but we still have like 12 more chapters left if everything goes accordingly!
