My friend came over so I didn't have time to finish this chapter yesterday. So I'm finishing it today... just pretend it's still 11.10.19 :) 11.10.19 Lacey's POV Pickering Airport 12:52pm
I couldn't wait for Shawn to come home so I had Adeline drive me to the airport. He gets off his flight any minute now and I can't wait.
Finally I hear that his flight has landed. I see paparazzi behind me and I ignore them to the best of my ability.
They open the gate door and after a couple people I finally see him.
Shawn's POV
I'm finally out of the tunnel and before I can pull out my phone someone jumps on me engulfing me. Then the scent of Lacey hits me. I hug her back as she starts to cry. "I've missed you so much." She pulls back grabbing my face and kissing me. I kiss back harder and hold her close as people walk around us.
Once she pulls away I grab my bag that I dropped. "Where'd your parents and Aaliyah go?" She wipes tears away from her eyes. "They must have gone ahead." I lace our hands together as we walk to baggage claim. Paparazzi try to get in our way but we ignore them.
I look at Lacey as we walk and I get happy feeling. I feel like I might explode with energy and love for her right now but I keep it down since we're in the airport. "There's your bags!" She points to one of the trolleys and we walk over. I grab my suitcases and we head to the parking garage.
Once we're in the garage I drop my bags my my car and pull her close. Thats when I feel the bump against me. "Lacey!" I put my hand over the bump and she smiles. "Six more months to go." A tear escapes her eye and I wipe it away with my thumb.
I rest my forehead on hers. "I love you Lacey. I love you more than anything." I kiss her. I feel her smile in the kiss. "Can we go home?" She whispers to me as I finally see paparazzi enter the parking garage. Nodding I open the car door for her and she gets in. Closing it I put my bags in the trunk and head to my side.
Once I'm in we drive. I hold her hand the whole way home.
Lacey's POV
Once we're in the apartment Shawn sets his luggage down. He wouldn't let me help him carry it. I hear my phone ping and I see Aaliyah sent me some pictures. They're of me and Shawn hugging at the airport. I smile and put my phone down.
"Our ultra sound is in an hour and a half." I tell Shawn as he goes and lays on the couch. "I'm excited." He mumbles with closed eyes. "Shawn, we can reschedule. You're clearly tired." I stand over him and he shakes his head. "Nope. We're going today. I'm just resting my eyes." He looks up at me with a smile.
I laugh. "You're odd." I go to walk away but he pulls me on top of him. "Shawn! I have to go to the bathroom." I whine as he sits up with me in his arms. I try pulling away but he just holds on a little tighter. "Kiss me first." He mumbled into my neck. I can tell he's smiling. "Shawn Peter Raul Mendes! I'll pee right here if you don't let me go!" I scream and he immediately let's go.
"Stupid of you to think I actually would have done it." I smirk and walk away. "Stupid of you to think I thought you would have actually done it." He follows close behind.
Once I finish my business I go into the bedroom to see Shawn on the bed. I take off his hoodie and that's when he sits up. "Woah." His eyes are wide and I laugh. "You act like you've never seen a pregnant person before." I walk towards him and he rolls his. "You're beautiful." He says as I sit next to him. I lay back and so does Shawn.
"Quick nap?" I set an alarm on my phone and Shawn nods.
- Shawn's POV Doctors Office
"Are you ready to hear the babies heartbeat?" The doctor tells Lacey as he does the whole procedure thing to find it. She nods and looks at me.
That's when I felt my breath hitch as the sound of the heartbeat came through the monitor. I feel tears surround my eyes and I look at Lacey who is almost sobbing. "Shawn, thats our baby." She holds her hand out and I take it. "I have no words." I feel a tear escape my eye and she laughs. "For some reason I didn't think I'd cry." Lacey tells me which makes me chuckle.
"Alright. I have another patient to attend to. The heartbeat sounds good. And you look healthy. Everything seems normal." The doctor says before leaving. "Well That was an experience." I tell her and she smiles.
"It's just crazy to think that there's a human inside me that we created. Like it's just I can't grasp it." She sits up and looks at me. "It is crazy." I stand up and she slips off the table. "Ready?" I ask as she grabs my hoodie and slips it on. "I'm not feeling up to food today. I keep seeing food and I feel like bleh." She whines as we walk out of the doctors office.
"Let's just go home and Netflix and chill for the rest of the day?" I ask her and she lights up. "Yes please!" She exclaims as we get into my car.

Lacey's POV 8:12pm
Shawn is completely out. He kept falling asleep throughout the day once we got home. He's exhausted from shows. I turn off the tv and get out of bed. Opening Snapchat, which I haven't used in forever, I take a photo of Shawn and caption it sleepy. I post it and go to my Instagram. I haven't really posted since I got pregnant so I dig out an old photo of myself and post it. In the photo I'm wearing a Fila sports bra and spandex with red sweatpants.
The post immediately gets at least half a million likes. I turn my phone off and set it next to Shawn's. Then I slip into bed.
Today was one of the best days of my life hearing the babies heartbeat... I'm grateful to be where I am today. I look at Shawn and I get goosebumps. He's given me a life I only see in movies it feels.
