Vistial was the best navigator of Middle Earth. She joins a band of dwarves to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the dragon Smaug.
Vistial may be a navigator, but can she navigate her feelings toward a certain dwarf prince?
Vistial is our Hobbit-based OC. Her hair is a dark brown, which she often keeps in an elegant braid, and her eyes are bright green. Vistial is a half-human/half-elf being, and is known throughout Middle Earth as the best archer and navigator. Legend has it that half-human/half-elf beings tend to possess the power of skin-changers. It has been a millennia since the last human-elf existed in Middle Earth. Then Vistial came along. Her other form is Tristic, the Elemental Dragon of the South. Not many people have seen Tristic in her human form, but those who have remain silent from fear that she will find them for exposing her, though she is known to be quite friendly. Tristic often helps town-folk in need. She has the ability to breathe different elements, such as fire and water, and change her size and scale color.
Vistial's mother was a she-elf named Anadia from the Greenwood Forest, and her father was a simple merchant from Laketown. Vistial never met her father, believing he had died after he left her mother to go gather more trade goods, according to Anadia's stories. When King Thrandiul found out that Anadia was pregnant with an outsider's child, he banished her from the kingdom, claiming only pure-blooded elves would live in his kingdom. Anadia was forced to wander, desperately looking for a home. Gandalf found her and helped her to Bree, allowing her to settle down. Days after Anadia acquired a home, she gave birth to a little girl she named Vistial. Anadia loved Vistial immensely, but their time together did not last long. While letting 3 year-old Vistial play in a meadow while sharpening her knives, Anadia realized that they were not alone. Orcs had seen the little girl playing and, not realizing her mother was nearby, came out of the forest to take her. Anadia fought the orcs off, but not without dying from her wounds soon after they had left. Gandalf found Vistial sitting next to the now-lifeless Anadia, crying while grasping her mother's hand in her little arms. Gandalf took the little girl in, raising her as his own. She developed her powers when she was 10. At first she was excited, but Gandalf told her not to tell anyone about the powers, for bad people would try to kill her for them. Vistial learned how to control her powers and use them for good. No one knew of her other identity, except a few such as Gandalf.
