Bard had disappeared to who-knows-where and Kili wasn't getting any better.

"You got this, Kili." Fili mutters to his brother. "Just keep fighting it." Vistial turns to see one of Bard's girls, Sigird, approach the door at a knock.

"Da? Is that you, Da?" She calls out, opening the door. She screams as an orc bursts through the door. Vistial grabs the girl and her sister, practically shoving them beneath the table.

"Stay down! Get down!" She shouts at them, drawing her knife. Vistial turns and starts to attack the orcs as they filter in. Vistial pushes Bain back, who tries to fight an orc twice his size. The red-haired she-elf from the woods suddenly appears, fighting by Vistial's side. Soon, all the orcs were gone.

"You killed them all."

"There are others." Legolas appears. Vistial lowers her eyes, unable to meet his. "Tauriel. Come." A loud groan comes from Kili's corner and Vistial sees him writhing in pain.

"We're losing him." Oin shouts. Vistial crouches by Kili's side.

"Help him!" She shouts at Tauriel, tears streaming down her face. Tauriel goes to leave, but Bofur suddenly appears, kingsfoil in hand. Tauriel grabs the kingsfoil.

"Athelas. Athelas." She mutters under her breath.

"What are you doing?" Bofur asks.

"I'm going to save him." Tauriel rushes back into the house. "Get him on the table." Fili and Oin obey, lifting a writhing Kili and laying him on the table.

"Hold him down." Tauriel instructs, smashing the kingsfoil in her hands. Vistial grabs Kili's shoulders while Fili and Bofur grab his arms and Oin grabs his legs. Tauriel mutters under her breath and starts to work her magic.

"I've heard tell of the wonders of Elvish medicine. That was a privilege to witness." Oin states, warming himself by the fire. Vistial nods, but can't shake a feeling. Tauriel had been able to save Kili, while Vistial did nothing. She felt terrible.

"Tauriel." Tauriel looks down at her name. Kili was awake.

"Lie still." She says, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"You cannot be her. She is far away. She is far, far away from me. She walks in starlight in another world. It was just a dream...but, Vistial...she has always been there. Do you think she could've loved me?" Kili mutters. Tauriel looks up and sees the girl, head bent. Tauriel had felt her heart break at Kili's statement, but she now realizes just how in love he is with the half-elf. She just hoped Vistial shared his feelings. He deserved Vistial, more than herself.
