nightmare

I felt my body being shaken, which only made the nightmare seem more real. Once I finally woke up, my body jolting straight up. My cheeks was wet with tears, my body was shaking, and my throat was hoarse. Sana looked at me shocked "y/n what's the matter? Why'd you scream like that?" Before she could finish interrogating me we heard doors opening and foot steps. The stairs creaked as people rushed down. The hall was full of voices before we heard some hurried knocks at the door. Sana quickly turned the lamp on, on her side of the bed before getting up and approaching the door, afraid to let me out of her sight.

She opened the door slowly as I crossed my legs and wiped my face. I took a few deep breaths that muffled what the others were saying. as soon as I was calmer, I could make out some of the whispers "what happened?" Tzuyu asked clearly concerned as she tried to make her way in but chae grabbed her arm. "I don't know, one minute she was just laying there and talking in her sleep, that's why I woke up because she was cute but she was saying things like 'no' and 'get off me' which surprised me so I was about to wake her up but then the she started screaming and kicking" sana said in a hushed whisper obviously for me not to hear. Then jihyo stepped forward "I'm going in" then each of the girls said me too. In seconds everyone was in the room.

I sat silently with my head down as everyone took a spot. Nayeon, jeongyeon, and jihyo sat directly in front of me. Tzuyu stood next to me with a hand on my shoulder. Sana and momo sat on sana's side of the bed and mina, chaeyoung, and dahyun sat on the edge of the bed. The room was silent but held a thick atmosphere. "Y/n, do you want to tell us what happened?" Jihyo asked as she grabbed my hand. I shrugged, afraid that if i spoke they could hear the tears forming again. "Maybe if you talk to us you'll feel better" jeongyeon said. "If you tell us what happened we can help" nayeon said as she was taking my other hand. I nod. Before finally looking up. I saw mina and tzuyu looking at me, knowing what was going to happen and what would be said."Ok...well.."

*time skip till after the story*

"...and that's why I had the nightmare. I'm sorry for waking you guys" I looked up and saw some of the girls were visibly upset. Dahyun and momo were clearly crying and some others looked like they were about to. I looked back down before I cleared my throat and wiped my tears. "No y/n you have no reason to be sorry. Nothing was your fault" jihyo said. She squeezed my hand. "That's what everybody says but if I was just a little more aware. If I would just get over it-" then tzuyu turned me towards her "y/n you can't just get over things like that." I smile weakly as I try to hold back another wave of tears "but i want to" i put my face into my palms as the dams of my tears gave way.

I cried hard and loud. They all didn't even say a word. Before I knew it I was pulled on my feet into a hug. I blinked a few times before realizing itwas tzuyu then I hugged back, tight. One by one the other girls got off the bed and joined the hug. Each one whispering things in my ears to cheer me up. The hug w a s warm and calming. I never felt so loved, but they were strangers just a few hours ago.
