Blood poured from Aiolos's mouth as Lucas took his claws out of the boys' stomach. Aiolos fell to his knees holding his stomach. He looks down at his stomach before looking around at his friends. Dimitri and Marlowe holding Atticus back. Juniper flying above to help Marlowe and Dimitri. Felix eyes wide as he dropped the railing. Dagen and Calliope were nowhere to be found. He looks up at Lucas and smiled a little.
"you've messed up." Aiolos says with his bloody grin.
Lucas titled his head to the side with an eyebrow raised until he suddenly feels stabbing pains in his back. He coughs up blood falling to his knees in front of Aiolos. Aiolos looked up and smiled at Dagen and Calliope.
"Lovely" he says weakly going to fall over before Felix runs over and catches him helping him up. Once Lucas fell on his side the clones turned to smoke letting everyone stop their fight with the clones and Atticus running over.
"Y-you're going to be okay." Felix stuttered. "Just have to keep pressure on your wound until we get out and then you can rest and heal."
Aiolos looked at the scared vampire that held tears in his eyes and nodded slowly. "I'll be okay."
Dimitri goes to say something but by the look Atticus gives him he changes it. "We should hurry then. The moon will be up soon."
Dagen nods a little "Felix let me take Aiolos you'll need to carry your umbrella." Felix slowly let's go of Aiolos. Dagen takes Aiolos arm wrapping it around his shoulder before helping him up the stairs slowly. Aiolos kept pressure on his wound as much as he could blood covering his hand as blood still dripped from his mouth. Dimitri took lead again holding the door open looking around to see if anyone was in the council room. When coast is clear they follow him to the back door. He forces it open the sun was going down.
Dagen and Aiolos gets out first rushing over to the tree line. Aiolos groaned in pain but kept up. Marlowe and Juniper followed behind with Calliope. Atticus made sure Felix had his umbrella positioned right before following him out to the woods. Dimitri locks the door before whispering another spell as the building began to lock itself up.
Dimitri joined them as they walked through the woods quietly. Calliope healing as she walked beside Juniper and Marlowe. Aiolos was getting worse and everyone knew that except for Felix. Felix held on to hope he would heal. Atticus walked beside Dimitri in the back quietly. They didn't stop until the sun was down and they found a cave like structure where they could rest for the night and wait for Calliope to return after her shift.
"Now Calliope we'll be right here once you're done. Just follow the smell. If we have to leave then we'll leave a sign of some sort for you to follow us okay?" Atticus says as Dagen places Aiolos sitting against the cave wall. Calliope nodded.
"Stay far away from the camp." He added.
"I got it." She looked back at Aiolos, Felix and Dagen gesturing for Atticus outside of the cave before whispering.
"He's not going to make the night is he?"
Atticus shook his head. "No. I'm afraid not. There's nothing I can do."
"Are you sure? I would have died if it wasn't for him."
"I know and I wish I could save him. But werewolves are so much stronger then pixies and goblins. He won't heal from this." Calliope nodded
"I'm not going to lie I'm going to miss him and his stupid gummy bear addiction."
"You're not the only one Callie. You should get going now." She nodded before hugging Atticus taking him by surprise. He flinched by the tight hug his sides still hurting from the beating he took but he hugs her back kissing her head like on the night he took her in. Once they let go of each other Calliope ran off.
