She pushed him back as hard as she could, not that she needed to do much given that he jumped a mile high at the sound of her shriek, landing on his feet for only a moment before stumbling back on his bare backside. Cecily screamed again, covering her eyes at the sight of a nude and disheveled man who was making some very high-pitched squeals himself.

"Who are you!" she yelled, trying to sound more tough than she was scared, "W-where is my wolf? What are you doing here?!'

She didn't hear anything regarding an answer, making her spread her fingers and peak through them shakily. She saw the man looking down at his own body in bewilderment, her ring finger covering his groin from her sight.

"How did...what the..." the man fumbled, his hands feeling over is body in question, "I was fine...I even ate...why?"

"Who are you?!" Cecily yelled again, her confidence rising with her anger at the confused man who had violated her space, "Why are you here?"

"Oh shit," the man answered, making Cecily even more upset, "I'm sorry, Princess! I didn't mean to change, certainly not while touching you!' He was scooting back from her, making her have to adjust her hand over her face to keep the cover her fingers offered in a decent position. "I meant to protect you, not...ugh. I didn't mean to change!"

"I don't know what you mean!" Cecily yelled at him

The man put his hands up in surrender, attempting to diffuse the situation, "Just...hold on," he said calmly, "Let me...shit...I wasn't prepared for this." He searched around, finally finding a tattered scrap of fabric in the back of the cave, probably a decade or more old, "Let me just..." he gave her a look, making Cecily get the hint and turn around, "Okay, I'm pretty much covered."

Cecily turned to face him, no longer scared but with her heart racing for a different reason. The man was standing a safe distance away from her, his height obviously much greater than her own. He had the cloth tied around his waist and covering his intimate area, but his sculpted thighs and chiseled stomach were still on display. His chest and arms were thick and brawny, but not too bulky, his sharp jawline and collarbones enhanced by his deep rapid breathing. Soft, uneven lips tried to give her a lop-sided smile of comfort, but his eyes were the most familiar. Liquid gold, deep and rich, covered slightly by thick, raven-black hair that reminded Cecily so much of soft fur.

"I'm Jeongguk," he began, his smile widening into a toothy grin, "It's nice to officially meet you, Princess."

"Saying your name doesn't explain who you are," she said with a shaky voice, "Or why you;re here." SHe suddenly got concerned again, "And where is my wolf?!"

"I wish you wouldn't call me that," Jeongguk frowned, "You make me sound like a basse animal."

"What do you-" her words were cut off when Jeongguk suddenly took a few large strides toward her, grabbing her by the shoulders softly and bending so his eyes looked directly into hers with concern. "Wha..."

She recognized those eyes. The same once that gave her the same look nights before in when she woke up. The ones that convinced her to eat, that sparked when she burned herself, that looked at her softly when she was tired, scared, or even feeling safe again. The ones that comforted her for two nights and brought her awake every day.

"Y-you're...but..."

"It's me, Princess," he said softly, "It's me."

"You're the-"

"One who has been keeping you safe since I found you unconscious in the forest? Yes."

"How?"

"I am a loup garou," he explained, concerned when the words obviously meant nothing to her, "I am a wolf-shifter."

"Are you going to kill me?" her voice was both weaker and more steady than she thought it would be.

"What?" he pulled back, surprised and offended, "Why would I have taken care of you for two nights. if I was gong to do something like that? I might be a monster," he scoffed, "But I'm not a monster."

"Then what do you want from me?"

"I don't really want anything," Jeongguk shrugged, distracting Cecily momentarily with his broad shoulders, "Jimin told me that you were important, you were in trouble, and where to find you...so that's where I ran."

"Did Jimin hurt me?!" Cecily's voice raised in awareness and fear.

"No!" Jeongguk chuckled, "Jimin is a fluffball. He doesn't even hurt anyone even when he needs to feed."

"F-feed?"

"He has to...you know what?" Jeongguk looked at her with pursed lips, "I suck at this. Can you just come with me, and I can let Jimin or Jin, or even Joon if we found him, explain all of this? They are much better with words than I am."

"How do I know you're not taking me somewhere to hurt me?"

"I guess you don't," Jeongguk looked at the ground, dejected, "But also I don't think we have a choice. You don't look like you're all the way better yet," he eyed her with concern once again, "And I'm fairly sure you're still in danger. I can smell strangers far off, and I can hear them saying your name."

Unknown panic set in Cecily's heart, making her breathe rapidly and her head ring with pain. Fear seeped into her chest, reminding her that she had been running from someone or something, and that she needed to be as far away from that danger as possible. Jeongguk noticed her distress and pulled her into his arms, hugging her tightly and quieting her scared heart. Once she was calm again, he looked to her with soft eyes, making sure she was okay.

"I don't have a choice," she agreed, nodding her head and looking at the ground, "I just hope you're as good as you seem, Jeongguk."
