Cecily wore the clothes she was given, assuming they were either Jimin's or Yoongi's by the size. They were baggy in most places, being too long and too big, but they also were too tight in others because she had curves that the men did not. The top buttons strained against the fabric, even as the sleeves covered her hands completely. She walked quietly through the kitchen area and into another large room, feeling shy and picking at the oversized cuffs with her fingers. The rambunctious and loud conversations died down until there were only a few whispers as she stood in the doorway, looking at the ground.
"Come come," Namjoon said, standing and guiding her gently into the dining portion of the large room. He walked her to a low wooden table surrounded by large, square cushions, "Maybe you should sit next to Yoo-" he suddenly cut off as Yoongi's aura seemed to expand and delicious smells entered everyone's nose, "Yeah...maybe not yet. Here...just sit here next to Tae and me." He held her hand until she was balanced and comfortable on a pillow, "So," he started as he sat himself down casually, "Let Jin load you a plate. You can start with your questions."
"Ummm..." she felt embarrassed, and so decided to talk about the elephant in the room, "Does everyone know what happened...umm...earlier."
Everyone nodded, some with grave faces, some with amused ones. Yoongi bit into his lip as he stared hard at Cecily, the scent of cinnamon permeating her senses. Jimin looked at her sweetly, managing to be the only one she wasn't too ashamed to meet eyes with. He gave her a quick wink and scrunched his nose at her, and she barely held back a giggle as she grinned at the sight.
"You'll find this house is very...open...when it comes to sex and intimacy," Jin explained, "Even those of us who aren't inclined to play with the others are still close enough that hugs, cuddling, and light skinships are still pretty regular."
"O-oh?"
"We are all exiles, fugitives, or runaways," Hoseok explained, his voice a bit sad, "But we found each other, and few of our creatures or cultures have anything like rules regarding sex, love, or sticking to only males or females. Some of have stronger preferences than others," he smiled at her warmly, "But basic love, understanding, and affection are things that everyone needs universally."
"What we're saying," Namjoon caught her attention, "Is that what happened isn't a big deal. We've all fed Jimin before, we know how it feels and what goes on when it happens. No one blames you," he chucked her chin with his fingers, "Or thinks any less of you."
"Okay," her voice was small, but she felt relieved. "So...if you don't mind me asking...how did you all come together?"
"I'm an alpha," Jeongguk explained, "But I didn't like the violence, and didn't want the role of a leader. My options were to fight my brother for the highest position in our pack, or leave to start a new one. I left, not really caring if I found or started a new pack, and met Taehyung when we got into a brawl over a recently killed deer."
"I was in bear form, and Kook was his wolf," Taehyung continued, "I had left my village, the town thinking that I was cursed, and we were both hungry and moody at the time." He leaned over and bumped his shoulder against the younger's giving him an adorable smile, "We couldn't best each other, and finally wore ourselves out enough to share the meat and have an actual conversation."
"I'm the last of my kind," Hoseok offered Cecily her plate from Jin, picking a berry off of it and popping it into his mouth, "My mother was killed after she had me, and the wizard who raised me was cruel. I escaped as a young man, and found myself drunk and seduced by a handsome stranger in a bar," he gave a pointed look to Yoongi, "He took care of me when I was so weak afterward, and we found we had a lot on common and enjoyed each other's company. When we met Jin, who was alone and having a difficult time adjusting, we just all stuck together."
"Because energy isn't the only thing I can convince people to give me," Yoongi smirked, "Jin was a strong fighter, Hoseok a charismatic salesman, and I could acquire profitable items or money without having to harm or steal." he shrugged, smiling cutely, "We were a beneficial triad and got on well."
"I was exiled, as I said before," Namjoon told her, "I was next in line for the throne, but my uncle challenged me after my father died." He ate a piece of succulent meat, "He was older, stronger, and bigger than me, and he bested me fairly. I chose exile over death, with the agreement that I could take the only servant I trusted with me when I left."
"I'm glad you did," Jimin clapped happily, "Like Jin, being a male of my kind is rare. I caught a high price at the slaver's trade because of that, and had served Joon's family for years. If he had left me behind, eventually I would have likely fallen into despair or been used or beaten or abused whenever a royal demon decided they wanted to break someone smaller than them."
"Our group met Joon and Jimin by chance," Jin smiled at the memory as though it were funny, "I caught Jimin cheating at poker, and we tried to duke it out."
"But they were so drunk they could barely lift their own fists!" Hoseok laughed heartily, "We had to pull them apart so they didn't end up puking on each other."
"Joon and Yoongi felt that it was better to combine forces, to protect Jin and I," Jimin finished, "And it worked out quite well, to have a family that all of us had been missing. We built this house, bit by bit, and I had a vision that we needed more room than just the five of us."
"Three days later, Kook and I got caught in a trap they had set up to catch large predators and keep the area safe." Taehyung chuckled, "And when they realized that we weren't ordinary wolves, they took us in."
"Your stories are so incredible." Cecily breathed out, her eyes wide as she looked around, "You obviously care for each other very much, It's so...warm." She looked down, frustrated again, "I don't remember anything about me or my family, only I get this very strong feeling that I never want to see them again."
"I will help you," Jimin gave her a heartwarming smile, "I promise."
"And I will protect you," Jeongguk added.
"As will I," Namjoon nodded in agreement.
"Because you're my f-fiancee?"
"Partially," he admitted easily, "The ritual binds me to you, and makes me want to give you the best of everything," he made sure she saw the sincerity in his eyes, "But protecting you...I don't have to. This is my choice, taken by my own will. Think of it as me owing you for my rash actions back then."
"You said I'm a sorceress," she looked back at him, "What does that mean?"
"Traditionally, witches and warlocks are humans who have some innate magical ability, and can train into the position," he explained, "Think of them as stronger humans, with high intellect, who are jacks and jills of all trades regarding magic." He gave her a big smile, "But sorcerers and sorceresses are something different...more. They are not quite human, stronger mentally and physically even than the best warlocks and witches, and they tend to specialize in one certain type or a few types of magic. It's hereditary, rather than random, and being of royal blood you are likely very strong and well-versed in yours."
"I-is there any way I can find out what my powers are?" she asked curiosity taking over.
"You can bring back your memory," Yoongi chimed in, licking his lips, "Or there is a faster way, even if the rest of your memories come back more slowly."
"How's that?"
He looked her in the eye, his expression cocky and mischievous, "Have sex with me."
