The sky was a brilliant azure, clear and flawless in its expanse as far as the eye could see. The birds sang their mating calls, twittering and cackling in the trees, growing more quiet as Cecily's feet led her further through the forest. Verdant green foliage caressed her skin as she moved along the path, the rays of the sun playing like ecstatic children on the grass and dirt below her feet.

"You have much to do, and little time left," a soft voice called, seemingly coming from nowhere and everywhere at once.

"I don't," Cecily smiled softly as she reached her hand out to warm it in a ray of sun, "My mates are with me, and I am safe."

"Not all are yours yet, child," the voice giggled as it tried to admonish her in a loving tone,"You have much left to do, Epoch."

Cecily paused, cocking her head to the side in confusion, "What else must I do, but love and be loved? Grow my garden? Wait to have my babies?"

"You must win before you can do those things," the voice reminded her, "But, should you win, I promise to bless you with all that and more, my lovely child."

"Win?"

"Win. Fight. Survive. Heal," it whispered, "You must mend the rift that you created. My scars are deep, child."

Emerging through a clearing, Cecily found herself in front of the most beautiful tree she had ever seen. Its branches reached as high as the heavens, thick silver bark stretched over strong twists of sturdy wood, the leaves resplendent in hues of gold, copper, and bronze as they twirled in the breeze. Despite a vision one would expect in autumn, the tree itself gave an aura of life rather than dormancy, bearing ripe fruit that shone in such a way that one could mistake the apples for balls of formed golden ore. The sight filled Cecily with wonder and excitement, but also apprehension and fear. She balked, halting her steps just as the thick canopy shadowed her from the sun.

"I-I don't know what to do," she stammered, "I'm not...I'm not ready."

"I know," the voice was calming and reassuring, "When the time is right, you will know."

"How?" Cecily spun in a circle, trying to pinpoint the location of the voice, "How will I know what I can't possibly know?"

"Trust in yourself...and in your husbands," a warm breeze caressed her skin like a loving parent, "You will know when the need to know arises."

The breeze turned chilled, the rays of sun lost behind ominous clouds that approached from nowhere. Cecily felt her skin prickle in warning, her breaths coming in short puffs that clouded the cold air around her as she felt bile and fear rise in her throat. Even the calming voice seemed to tremble in the new atmosphere, urgency staining the once loving tone.

"Cecily! Run!"

Cecily woke with the remnants of a scream still clawing at her throat, cold sweat covering her body as she strained to free herself from the grip of fear that threatened to strangle her. She fought against the blankets twisted around her legs, and even harder as two arms encircled her from behind. Her panic spiked for a second, then ebbed as she remembered that she'd shared her bed with Jimin the night before.

"Shhh," a gentle voice spoke, surprising Cecily that it wasn't who she thought it was, "Cece, I'm here. You're okay."

"Jin?" she turned around in his embrace, "What's going on?"

He smiled as he relaxed his hold, turning it into a comforting hug, "Jimin woke in the middle of the night. He came to my room and told me you would need me." He huffed a little laugh, "I guess he was right?"
