"NAMJOON, STOP!" Jimin screamed, trying to cover Cecily's thrashing body, her fingers clawing at the unseen force on her throat.
"She is one of them, Jimin!" Namjoon yelled back, "Get away from her! She's a killer!"
"She isn't! I saw her!" Jimin was trying desperately to hep her breathe again, watching in vain as her eyes became bloodshot from the suffocation.
Suddenly a loud roar was heard from seemingly out of nowhere, the volume of it shaking the windows of the simple home. Namjoon looked to the side, not even seeing the animal properly before a giant wolf-man tackled him from the side and knocked the air out of his lungs.
The spell broken, both Cecily and Namjoon gasped and gulped for air, their eyes landing on one another in abject fear as they scrambled to put more distance between the two of them. Jimin pulled her into his lap protectively, and Jeongguk kept his partial wolf form, pinning Namjoon to the ground as he bared his teeth menacingly.
"Down, Kook," a growling voice came from Taehyung, his eyes turning an fiery green, "We don't harm our own kind."
Jeongguk shimmered and reverted to human form, but keeping his oversized claws and teeth, "She is our kind, now. Jimin saw it."
"Jimin didn't see shit!" Namjoon yelled, "He didn't see her family as they planned my sacrifice! Didn't hear her agree to let them kill me!"
Jimin looked at Cecily with wide eyes, her own filled with confusion and terror. Her head rang with a blinding pain, making her clutch at her temples as she screamed. Jeongguk dropped his half-animal form, rushing to her in an attempt to help. She faintly heard him and Jimin yelling her name, but it sounded muted against the clanging pressure inside her skill. She reached out, screaming again, and felt someone grab her hand as everything went black.

"...and she doesn't remember...memories...broken..."
"...killer...she's evil...saw it..."
"...I can help her...leave me...time..."
Cecily tried to pull herself up from the darkness, only to have a soft hand touch her forehead and push her back into the abyss.
"You will do as I say!" the woman spat at her, sharp nails digging into her cheeks as she held her face in a vice-like grip.
"I don't want to hurt anyone!" Cecily cried, feeling the tears stream down her cheeks, hot against the welts on her face.
"Then don't," the woman seethed, "Finish the marriage, consummate it, and sow the seed of the heir." Her voice turned cold, "Let me do the rest."
Cecily was scared. Of losing her freedom, of bearing a child that was half-demon, of the wrath of her mother. Shaking, trembling, she nodded her head, hoping she could think of a way to save the poor man before her the woman completed their cruel plan.
"Yes, Mother."
The room began to fill with black-grey smoking, everyone around her grabbing at their chests as they bled from their eyes, ears, and mouth. Her mother gurgled on her mouthful of crimson fluid, the guards around them dropping as their eyes went dim with death.
Cecily ran to the window, trying to get air in her lungs that wasn't filled with the poisonous vapor. She leaned out, taking deep breaths of the fresh air. Two hands were felt on her back, large and strong, hitting her with a tremendous force.
Toppling out of the window, Cecily screamed as she fell.
"NO!" Cecily sprang up, nearly knocking Jimin off of the bed while she tried to untangle herself from the sheets and run.
Namjoon ran into the room, startled by the wild look in her eyes and she clawed at Jimin's hands holding her down. He rushed over to help Jimin contain her, her eyes not even seeing them as she screamed for her mother, for herself, and at the world lost to her memories.
"No! I don't want to die! You can't use me like this! I'm not like you! No! NO!'
"CECILY!" Namjoon's voice boomed, shocking both Jimin and Cecily at the same time. "Calm down, Little One. You're not at the castle," his eyes were soft as he looked at her, which confused her even more.
"I didn't...I couldn't..." she stammered, "Who are you?"
"Jimin told me you were good," he confirmed, "He said your thoughts in your memories were that you weren't going to go through with the plan." He looked at the ground, embarrassed, "I'm sorry I reacted the way I did, without giving you a chance to explain."
Cecily was still confused, the memory only a minute segment of her life, which she still didn't fully know or understand. She looked at him with big, questioning eyes, hoping he could give her some insight to her past. He continued to avoid her gaze.
"I'm...shit," he cursed, "There's no way to say this without being the asshole that I am." He loosened his grip on her, letting Jimin hold her in comfort, "I'm also sorry I pushed you out of that window. I didn't know who or what you were...are." His eyes looked to her for some sort of reaction, "But I'm not sorry I killed your mother. Her intentions were very real and quite clear. I'm sorry you have to go through this, but I had to save myself, for my family."
Cecily searched her heart, and found she wasn't mad or even sad that her mother was dead. She felt...relieved?
"I...I don't know why..." she whispered, afraid using her full voice would scare Namjoon away, "But I'm not mad at you for killing my mother. Something in me feels that it was the right thing to do." She looked up at him, "But why does it also feel like it's made things worse...even more scary?" Cecily sprang forward, gripping Namjoon's arm in desperation, "Please...tell me. Who are you?"
Namjoon have her a pitiful smile, "I'm your fiance, Princess."
