Chapter 74

Nandini got ready in a white floral, sleeveless jumpsuit. She parted her hair from the middle and pinned her side locks from both side at the back of her head. She spread her lose locks and wore small diamond earrings.

"Whom do you want to kill with your cuteness today?" Manik asked standing behind her.

"Di. She is angry, upset. I don't know, she herself was confused."

"Don't worry. I will talk to her. And you are looking like a cute angel. She can't be angry after seeing you."

"I don't know what to expect from this dinner. I won't be able to tolerate it if di ignores me, tonight."

Manik cupped her face and placed a kiss on her lips delicately. "You are thinking too much. Even she cannot ignore you. Everything will be alright. I am right here."

Nandini gave him a small smile and hugged him. He too returned the hug and sighed. He could not believe Hayat reacted like that. He thought it would not be a great deal and Nandini was afraid for nothing. But sensible Hayat, looked childish. She needed time. Was he that bad that Hayat could not imagine Nandini with him.

'So, what? I don't care what others think. Only Nandini matters.' Manik thought and kissed on her hair.

"Let's go! We are already late."

"I am not ready to face her."

"You are ready. You are the feisty girl that messed with me. You are always ready."

Driver was driving the car. Nandini was hugging Manik's arm, closing her eyes. She was already drained and can't find it in herself to face Hayat.

They entered in Murat & Hayat's house and Murat was there to welcome them. Murat first hugged Nandini and asked how she was. Later he gave a hug to his brother.

Nandini was looking here and there, searching for Hayat. Murat and Manik noticed it and threw each other a knowing look.

"She is in the kitchen. Just checking if everything is good or not." Nandini gave him a small smile.

Hayat came out from the kitchen with a huge smile, that smile totally blew Nandini away. She was standing there as if she was thunderstruck. Hayat hugged Manik first and then came to Nandini.

" Woah! My Nandu is looking so cute but why are you so tense and standing here stiffly. Loosen up!" Hayat said cheerfully as if nothing happened that afternoon.

Nandini looked at Manik, as if asking that was real or not. Manik, who himself was confused, nodded at her in assurance.

Murat, directed them towards the dining room. Throughout the dinner Nandini noticed that Hayat and Murat were constantly in touch with each other. Murat specifically couldn't sit without holding her hand.

A small smile crept on Nandini's face. Hayat was happy so was she. But she couldn't fathom that why Hayat was acting as if she remembered nothing. She said they will talk but Hayat didn't show any sign for that.

"Nandu, why are you not eating? You are becoming more thinner than you were before my marriage. You are not taking care of yourself, are you?" Hayat asked.
