John’s POV

I’ve really messed up haven’t I? I doubt Sherlock will ever want to talk to me again after this. Him swooping pass me just now confirmed this. Maybe if I just leave it a couple of days and then start to talk to him he may forgive then. Maybe. I walk through the corridors of the main building ignoring the many people who are trying to get my attention. Suddenly I feel a sharp pain to my shoulder as a small ball is thrown at it. I turn to see Anderson with a smirk on his face. “Oi! Freak’s boyfriend! There is a little squirt looking for you!” He calls. I hate him…wait someone is looking for me.

“Who? What? Where?” I mumble.

“Some girl went to your dorm, hopefully freaks not there. Would scare her off.” He snidely remarks.

“Did this girl have a name?”

“Yeah. Harriet I think, she kind of mumbled it but-” I don’t stay to listen but run through the corridors towards block B. I cannot leave her alone with Sherlock.

Sherlock’s POV

I hate him! I fucking hate him so fucking much! If he doesn’t move out then I will. I snatch my suitcase from underneath the bed and…knock knock. Interesting. Someone is at the door. A female I would say by the lightness of the knock, balance of probability but knock was quite low down, a younger year maybe. I open the door with a swift and I am shocked to see a young girl standing on the other side with sandy blond hair and blue eyes; she looks about eleven years old…wait a minute. “Hello?” The girl almost questions.

“Yes hello sorry I was in my mind palace. It happens.” I ramble before smirking when I see the confused look on her face. She must be John’s sister, they look so alike. “Are you Harry?” She nods and I punch the air leaving her even more bewildered.

“Is John here?” I shake my head and she sighs, “Oh okay…”

“He should be back soon.” Sadly. “Please come in.” I step aside allowing her to enter and pull John’s desk chair towards her for her to sit on. “Sit.” I instruct as she shuffles back on the chair. Shortness runs in the family then. “Would you like something to drink? I think we have juice somewhere.” She nods coyly. This is not how I would imagine Harry. Am I really that scary? I rummage around in John’s desk drawer and find a carton of apple juice. I pass over to her and her face lights up. She looks hungry and thirsty and pretty dirty. How long has she been on her own? Wait John left his grandparents’ house two days ago. Did she follow him?

“Thank you.” She mutters and I nod in response.

John’s POV

Four flights of stairs done, one to go. Blimey all this stair climbing is going to be extremely tiring! I sprint to the end of the corridor bumping into several people I pass but currently I don’t care. When I reach dorm two hundred and twenty one I sigh in relief as I don’t see Harry sitting outside. That must be a good sign right? I unlock the door and open it to see Harry sitting opposite Sherlock on my chair slurping at a carton of juice. Maybe Sherlock can be a good host. “Harry what are you doing here?” I ask.

“Why have you been running John?” She asks in response with her head cocked to one side.

“He doesn’t trust me Harry.” Sherlock dryly replies, “There is no trust.”

“Now is not the time Sherlock!” I shout at him and crouch down to my sister’s height. “Harry, why are you here little sis?”

“They don’t love me!” She cries, “All they do is leave me by myself and ignore me! I might as well be dead!” I hug her tight.

“Never say that Harry. I love you.”

“Then why did you leave me?!” She cries harder as Sherlock rises from his seat. I feel terrible. I knew I shouldn’t had left her but I want to get somewhere in life. Sherlock heads for the door.

“Where are you going?!” I yell.

“To talk to Mycroft about…this.”
