chapter three
it is

THE PAIR ran home after the sunset.

"mrs. grose is gonna kill me" miles groaned.

he grabbed y/n's wrist and pulled her along.

she simply giggled, and hurriedly followed miles.

the moon had already come out and shined it's luster white gleam down upon the grassy fields.

it took about 10 minutes to run back, the estate was very large and the daisy field was far out.

by the time they reached the back door both were out of breath.

the house stood proudly beneath the moonlight.

miles put his finger up to his lips signalling to be silent.

y/n had to cover her mouth to keep from giggling.

he shushed her before starting to laugh as well.

the large, black door creaked open.

it was silent in the house, everyone had already eaten dinner and now were most likely asleep.

miles crept inside, y/n at his heels.

the wooden floor made it harder to sneak about as it creaked and squeaked with every step they took.

it also didn't help that y/n was an absolute giggling mess.

miles repeatedly shushed her yet that just made her giggle more.

"shhh you're gonna get us ca-"

"i specifically said, before it gets dark, did i not miles?" mrs. grose appeared from within the shadows.

miles jumped and faced her quickly.

y/n inched closer behind miles.

"you did." miles replied.

"and look outside, it is rather dark now isn't it?" mrs. gross looked out through the old window pane.

"it is." miles bit his lip.

"this will not happen again, go to bed you little devil" mrs. grose slapped his shoulder.

"ow" he whined and rubbed his shoulder as y/n quietly giggled.

once the were out of sight, mrs. grose smiled to herself.

she stared out into the dark, admiring the beautiful estate.

her mood changed completely when she saw quint approaching the house, she tsked and went off to her room.

"c'mon" miles giggled grabbing y/n's wrist and pulling her into his room.

she squealed as he tackled her onto his bed.

"shhh!" he put his finger to her lips.

she quietly giggled.

he got up and  went to his record player, it was dark black perched carefully atop his nightstand.

records were everywhere in his room, though most were collected in his book shelf, two rows of his book shelf were solely full of records.

y/n stood from the bed and began looking around his room.

it was surprisingly neat, nothing out of place.

posters of various bands lined the walls.

multiple posters of a band called nirvana.

there were various books thrown randomly.
