IN CROWD

Chapter XVI

It was Thursday word have spread through the school about the boys arrest. After Lina told her and Becca's parents what she knew. David was on the phone immediately after with the police. Omar, Sammy and Renaldo were picked up and brought to the police station for questioning. After hours they were released there wasn't enough evidence to charge them with anything.

   Three of them strolled through the halls of Mora high like they weren't almost charge for Becca's disappearance. Omar look at Lina with a snug grin on his face. She looked away from him, she couldn't look at them she didn't want them to see how nervous she was making them think it was her. Sammy called her soon after he was released but she didn't answer instead she sent him a text.

Busy

  Omar walked over to her with Sammy and Renaldo hot on his heels. "Hey Lina" they greeted her. She gulps and smiles at them. Sammy grabs her by her hands and drags her behind him. He and his friends brought her to a empty class. Omar locks and leans on it, a sinister smile playing on his face.
She gulps she was about to die but would they kill when there was so much people around.

"Please don't hurt me" she whimpers

  They looked at eachother and laughs. She looks at them, "Why would we hurt you?" Sammy asked

  She glanced from him to Omar to Renaldo and back at him. Omar had an eyebrow raised waiting for her to answer. He leans of the door and strolled towards her. "She thinks we had something to do with Becca's disappearance" he says.

"What?" Sammy says he looks at her he was hurt, why would she think he would hurt Becca he loved her as if she was his sister.

"Lina thinks we had something to do with Becca's disappearance. She was only going on what Becca told her. Becca had this sick notion that we had raped Andrea." He says turning towards his friends.

Sammy look at her hurt was written all over his face. " I.....we didn't have nothing to do with Becca's disappearance and damn well sure didn't rape anybody how could you think such a thing".

  Omar place his hands in his friends shoulder"I'm sorry.... Becca...."

Omar cut her off " we believe that the girl Andrea Becca's best friend well ex best friend is behind this all".

She glanced at them confusion written all over her face. "A few days after Becca and Andrea had a fight she was talking to a guy, we couldn't make him out cause his back was towards us but he was driving a black Camaro. We heard them talking about a plan and something about Alicia's party. That was the only thing we got before he left."

"The next day there was a video circulating about a allegde rape"

"So three of you think that this girl cried wolf and said she was raped"

They nods "but we don't have evidence to prove it"

"That's sick. What about the video and her bruises. She was battered?"

"The guy whoever he is could be the one who was in the video" Sammy says

  Lina glanced at them "still doesn't explains the bruises and what does that have to do with Becca"

" Thats what we are trying to find out before we got arrested" Omar says looking at her.

"Sorry" she says again. Omar brush it off and Sammy winks at her causing her to laugh.

"Water under the bridge" Renaldo says to her.

"Where do we go from here" she says.

"Before we got arrested we had a lead well Renaldo did he followed Andrea to a place he believes she was meeting her therapist but after she went to an abandon building where the same black Camaro was there waiting."

"What are we waiting on let's go get Becca before it is to late" she says heading towards the door.

"No"Sammy says grabbing her hand. You stay here and we not back before six call the police and tell them everything."

"But Becca needs me"she cries.

"She needs you here"

"Besides this is our mess and we have to fix it. We have less than 24 hours to find Becca before Andrea kills her".

"So you think she is going to kill her"

"By now she figures we know enough so yes if anything she is going to kill her".

"Then go please go and bring her back safe" they all nods and Sammy kiss her on the cheek and they left.

They ran across the parking lot they got in Renaldo truck and was on there way to get Becca back. It take them 45 minutes to get there the black Camaro was parked there along with another car which belongs to Andrea.

"There here" Omar says getting out. Sammy and Renaldo follows suit.
"What's the plan" Sammy asked

"Don't have one"he says

They each grabbed a bat from the trunk and headed up to the house it was quite. 

"Who is there?"a voice says. They followed the voice which lead them to some guy his back was turn he was on the phone. Omar walk up to him and swings his bat and hitting the guy on his head. He fell to the ground with a thud
"Nice shot"

"Thanks let's go find Becca".

Becca hears there voices and yells.

"I'm here"

They ran towards the door it was locked. "Stay back" they yelled.

Renaldo kicks the door in Becca was coiled in a corner scared but happy she was being rescued but she couldn't believe it was Omar and his gang. She ran towards him and hugs him. She cries into his chest. "I'm sorry"

"Hate to break up the reunion but we got to go" Renaldo says.

Omar carries Becca and they head out the building but to there surprise Andrea was waiting with a gun in her hand.

"We'll well isn't my favourite guys"

"Why are you doing this" Renaldo asked

"Why don't you tell them dear sister"she says cocking her head to the side.

"Sister" they all said

Becca explain to them what she told her. "Let us go you don't need to do this think about our daughter" Renaldo says

"How you know about her"

"Your grandmother".

"Enough talk nobody is going nowhere"she raise her gun point to each them. She hears sirens from a distance.

"You call the police"

"Lina" Sammy glance at his watch it wasn't six yet. Before he could say something Andrea pulls the trigger and shoots.....
