Chapter XVIII

Detectives Conan and Morrison were working late at the station. They had some leads that could potentially lead them to Becca and the others. Morrison looks over at his partner who was just looking over the case file, "what are you thinking?" He asked him.

"I need a strong cup of coffee" he replies. He gets up to refill his cup, he walks back to his desk, with a sip of his coffee he says "I think this is some type of vendetta".

"Vendetta"

"Our vic"he says pointing at Becca's picture, "had a well off life. Rich parents a life everyone wants but not much gets it. So our perpetrator doing this either out of revenge or jealous whatever it is we are going to find out." He continues.

"I been here for 12 hours straight I need sleep. Conan pack up his things and said goodnight to his partner and left the station. He arrives home 30 minutes later his wife Elizabeth was barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen cooking dinner.
Hearing the door open and closed Elizabeth calls out to her husband. "Jason is that you?" She asked, she turns around as he enters the kitchen and smiles at him.

"How was your day?"she asked as he walks towards her, he greets her with a kiss and rubs her swollen belly "stressful, where are the kids?" He asked as he grabs a glass and fills it with water taking a long drink.

"Jacob is at a friend's house, Kate and
Kristina are upstairs in their room and Austin is the living room watch cartoons " he nods as he sat on a bar stool just watching his wife finish cooking. After she was done, helps her set the table and calls the children to eat same time Jacob was coming through the front door. Jason blessed the food and was now conversing with his family over dinner. After dinner the kids pitch in to clean up the kitchen and wash and put away the dishes.

Jason retires to his bedroom after a shower and settles in his bed while his wife snuggles close to him. "Are you close to finding Rebecca?"

Jason sighs "today I thought I did but when I got to the address they was no one there. A car was parked down the street not far from the house it belong to one the boys we picked up the day before. I had to tell three other parents today that their kids are missing".

Elizabeth looks up at her husband, being a detective wasn't an easy job, working as long as he have he saw alot of things that he didn't think people was even capable of doing. He was a kind man with a heart of gold, he was living husband and amazing father.

"Tomorrow I have to go back to the Steele's residents and speak to the parents, besides being jealous of their daughter there must be something that could cause this whole mess".

"You think the parents have something to do with it"

"Everybody is a suspect until I prove them innocent until then everyone of them is guilty"
He place one of his hands on her stomach rubbing until he felt his little guy moving. Jarvis Dylan Conan was due any day now. He kissed his wife and sleep took over.

Lina sat in her pyschics class Principal Hatchet had held a assembly this morning informing the whole school about the boys disappearance and of any students has any information they should report it.
Her parents didn't want to go to school today they feared she might not make it home; Lina was stubborn and what she wanted to do she did. She rolls her eyes as the teacher calls out to her to answer a question she just looks at her and shrug her shoulder.

The teacher look a bit shocked at her response and points to another student to answer the question. "She makes the class so boring you don't even get the zest to even take part" Lina glance over at girl that was sitting besides her. She was smiling at her which she returns.

"The names Adrianna but you can call me Adrian" she says stretching out her hand for to shake.
Lina shakes it "Lina"

"Nice to meet you" the two girls talk through the rest of there class getting to know eachother. Today might be a good day Lina thoughts as she slings her bag over shoulder as she an Adrian left physics class they had one more class together before lunch.

"Well well isn't the Paxton drop out and the out cast" both girls turns around to see Alicia and Mona glaring daggers at them.

Lina glares at her " if you must know I didn't drop out" she walks towards her "but if you must know I was expelled because I beat up bitches like you" she says laughing the look on her face and walks away with Adrian in tow.

" I love your confidence"

"I hate girls like her" both girls walk towards to there next class laughing at Alicia's and Mona's faces. "That was epic" Adrian says laughing.

"Quite down girls" the teacher says as they walk in English class, the whole class was here already even Mona and Alicia was sitting at the back both wearing smirks and watching them.

Lina rolls her eyes at her as she and Adrian found two empty seats and sat down as the teacher continues to teach her class.
