The short haired male recalled what he told Winry, remembering her confused face but soft kind smile follow after, "I forgive you.", "She forgives me she says, why is a pretty girl like her interested in me? I don't understand..." Envy thought before scrunching his face. "Man it's so late... I just want to sleep..." He thought walking quickly inches from the door, pausing in his steps looking up at the clear night sky, "Edward looked at this when he was out at this time, huh?..." Envy thought touching his wrists, "I could always find a sharp glass or something and slit my wrists and go die in an alley, I'm just so tired..." He said quietly with a hurt smile. "...I'd rather you didn't, Envy... I need you." Edward's voice said making him look to see the blond at the door worried holding the meowing tabby cat in his arms, "...Come inside, it's cold." He said reaching out for Envy's hand bringing him inside, "Edward-" Envy started putting the bag down stopping in surprise when the Edward hugged him tightly.
"I was calling you, but your phone was dead, you worried me, you know...", "Sorry..." Envy apologized, "You smell like that flower perfume again..." He heard Edward say smelling his neck, "Doing something behind my back?..." He said making Envy tense up, before feeling a pat on his shoulder seeing Edward smiling at him, "Anyways, I want to show you something, Envy.". "Keep walking.", "How the fuck am I supposed to know where I'm going, when you have your hands over my eyes and walking behind me?", "Jeez, trust me for once, will you?..." Edward said not surprised at the familiar attitude Greed had mentioned to him, stopping him in the room with a sudden pause, "Seriously, what is it?" Envy asked annoyed feeling Edward pull his hands away from his amethyst eyes. "Don't you ever get tired?-" Envy asked making a face at the sight of the room, but pause when seeing a completed painting in the corner of the room, going over to it kneeling in front of it tilting his head slightly staying quiet for a long moment, burying his face in his knees scrunching his face at the painting with Edward sitting on the edge of the bed quietly.
It was Envy with his long hair before the incident, in his sleeveless crop top turtleneck, with an angry confused expression in his amethyst eyes looking down to a snake's shed skin he was holding in his hands that was left behind by a black snake with purple eyes wrapping around his scarred arm climbing up his arm going up to their neck in a suffocating way but laid on his shoulders almost tiredly, reaching out to touch it. "It's still drying, so I wouldn't touch it yet..." Edward said seeing Envy tense up nervously, "Did you know snakes are the most misunderstood creatures?... People are scared of them, judge them just on their cold appearance... People think they're cold hearted and don't feel anything. But that's not true, snakes are gentle creatures when they're given love and care. Their cold behavior changes, it's only when they feel threatened they attack...". "...Is that what you think of me." Edward heard Envy ask his back still turned to him, "In an ironic way I suppose, but the point of that painting is to show-", "How even the most coldest animal can shed it's skin and still feel vulnerable..." The other said quietly burying his face in his knees completely, "I hate you...", "Did I make you cry again?..." Edward asked seeing Envy shake his head but saw his shoulders shake saying otherwise.
"Come here..." Edward said getting up going over to Envy to pick him up in his arms, walking back to the couch to sit down not surprised when the amethyst eyed male laying down with his back out, and his face hiding in his stomach, hugging the purring tabby kitten against his marked up chest playing with his short dark hair gently. "If I had all that money you've taken from me all those years, no doubt I would of left with Harlequin and you somewhere quiet... For now we're both stuck here..." Edward said quietly touching Envy's pierced ears, tapping Envy's head seeing him finally look at him, taking the opportunity to grab his face and lean down to kiss him, surprised at the sweet familiar taste. "...You taste like apple pie..." He commented seeing Envy was flustered but stay serious, "I ate some earlier at a pastry shop..." Envy lied with Edward looking at him silently but smile, "I see... Hey Envy, I'm curious what's your family like?" He asked seeing the other look at him with a blank stare, as if not wanting to talk about it.
"...It's a shit show since there is seven of us, but what do you expect... We're not all the same." Envy started getting up and sitting on the floor in between Edward's legs laying his head on his lap making the blond get flustered, "Okay, but what about the ones you lived with?...", "Lusty is great, I love her. I miss her hugs, even if she did suffocate me with her massive tits... She's more than a pretty face with big tits though," Envy said quietly. "She was so kind and motherly, always spoiled me rotten, I was her favorite sibling you know... Maybe that's why Greed hated me... I always got the attention... Or maybe he just hated me because I'm a terrible person... You know Greed always wanted me to have the worst life... I want the same too, it's the least I deserve- Ow!" Envy said feeling a harsh bonk on the head. "Stop talking like that!... What would your family think." Edward said after hitting Envy on the head, "If they saw me now and the things I've done, they would say the same thing, especially Greed. He could give zero fucks about me... There's a big difference between me and you, you have people that love you, I don't." Envy said making a face dropping it to a vulnerable one.
"But... Greed was strong, a bit mean... You know I just wanted him to like me, but it never happened... Said I would never be nothing, and he wasn't wrong... I'm nothing... Always called me ugly, made me feel like shit, especially after I lost it one day and started cutting myself... I'm actually fucking terrified of him, I couldn't face him like this, I don't think I could ever face him or my sis again..." Envy said silence following after. The strained relationship between the two brothers made Edward feel bad for telling Greed of his location, feeling worse more for opening an old wound with Envy, "Neither of us came from a bad home... We just left because we couldn't talk our feelings out..." The blond thought scrunching his face, "We're both terrified of facing our demons...". "Envy- Hey!" Edward started but jump up when Envy had unzipped his pants exposing him, "Sorry... I just... Don't want remember anything right now..." Envy said looking up to him flustered with his pained amethyst eyes, "Your face is still swollen though...", "Who gives a fuck..." The amethyst eyed male said simply before licking his lips sucking Edward off.
