"I'm so happy, I made a friend." Envy recalled when he got back to his quiet apartment, thinking back to the happy blond scrunching his face with a scowl, "What an annoying kid... Be my friend he says..." He said putting his hand through his hair getting quiet smiling a bit happy, "He's a nice kid though, I actually like him..." Envy said before scrunching his face again, "I unfortunately have the worst intentions for you, pipsqueak.". "Clara must be worried about me, it's late!" He said running back to where the kind woman lived at holding a bag in his hand, pausing when seeing her apartment door was open a bit, getting concerned since it was dark inside getting cautious pushing the door open quietly, "Clara?..." He called out quietly feeling his heart drop when not hearing a response from neither her or his cat. "Clara?- Ahh!" He said again but screamed when the lights turned on seeing the blonde woman jump out in joy, "Happy Birthday, Edward!" Clara screamed in content with the tabby cat running out after with a meow, making him put his hand over his chest seeing the apartment was filled with balloons and birthday decorations confusing him but remembered today was his birthday.

"...Ah... I forgot it was today... You got me worried with the door open like that..." He said with a worried smile seeing the blonde woman smile apologetically, "I'm sorry, Edward... That was a terrible way to surprise you..." She apologized, "I saw your ID the day you got here and I just HAD to plan something nice for you." She said closing the door before hugging the small blond with a smile tightly. "Happy eighteenth birthday, Hun." She said happily seeing Edward look up to her with in content, "Thank you for remembering Clara.", "How do you forget your own birthday?" She asked pinching Edward's nose with a smile but let go when seeing the bag in his hands, "Go put the bag down and come to the kitchen I made you something." She said with Edward pulling something out and put it in her hands. "What's this?... Oh, this is beautiful Edward." She asked but stood quiet looking down to a black choker with roses and a heart padlock on it, smiling with a soft laugh at the little key attached to the heart padlock, "This is really thoughtful Edward, you really shouldn't have..." She said grabbing the small blond and kissing his forehead, "Close your eyes for a moment." She said softly and simply.

The small blond did as he was told hearing Clara walk off before coming back and stopping in front of him, "Okay, open your eyes." She said with Edward opening his golden eyes seeing a large red box with black wrapping around it, "This is for you.", "...Can I open it later?" He asked taking it setting it down on the couch, "Of course, you must be starving, let's go to the kitchen, I made you something.". The sight of stew and quiche made Edward's stomach growl, "...All this is for me?...", "Yep, not including dessert, but that's for later." Clara said grabbing herself a bottle of wine, "This is for me." She said with a wink sitting down at the table, "You're much too young to drink, so I'll just drink a glass for you." She said with the small blond sitting down at the table in joy with the tabby sitting down by his foot. "Here comes dessert, blow out your candles~" Clara said after Edward ate placing the large fresh apple pie slice with candles in front of him, with the small blond blowing out the candles with Clara taking a photo patting the blond on the head, "Make your wish?", "I already got it." Edward said happily taking the woman by surprise as she took the candles off the pie slice.

"Oh?", "I made a friend today~" Edward said in content talking about Envy making Clara smile in joy at how happy Edward was talking about his new friend, "Did you get their number?", "...No... I forgot to ask..." Edward said with a long pause, "Well you'll probably see them again, don't worry about it too much... Maybe you can bring them by sometime, and introduce me." She said with Edward nodding before digging into his pie slice. Clara had quietly slipped an envelope into a page of his sketchbook, putting it back in his bag in a way that wasn't obvious after she had cleaned up and taken a shower surprised at the silence, heading to her room screaming when Edward popped out from behind the door and scared her with a grin, "Got you good, didn't I? You should of seen the look on your face." He said seeing Clara put her hand over her chest but smile at him. "You sure did get me good..." She said with a soft laugh seeing Edward look over her body again looking away flustered, not surprising her, "You're doing it again, Edward. Looking at me like that with those eyes of yours." She said with the blond giving a regretful flustered expression, before looking back to her with an apologetic expression in his golden eyes.
