I don't know why I didn't heal, but I don't care because all I can think about is Chloe and May I let them down, now their gone probably killed, or being tortured, or experimented on. May so young so full of life now has to grow up too fast. Chloe the shy girl from home now has to be loud and brave to survive what will be done to them. I change my thoughts before I cry. I didn't know Zinnia was that powerful. The grass where we fought at was burnt clean off the ground and the dirt was still warm.  Her powers burned everything around us some of the trees and tents close by burnt up leaving only ashes and dirt. Ana has to try to keep the ground cool before it catches on fire. Sylvie and Dominick are packing so is Andrew, Wyatt is already packed and laughing with Zinnia who looked like she was crying. The only people that have yet to pack is Zinnia, Ana,and I were moving to a different location somewhere off the charted course of super blood. I walk around in the forest Dominick walks with me he kicks a small rock out of the way. " You know what would be awesome" Dominick asks we both look at the creek he's different from me he loves the water he walks in the creek and starts to skip rocks, he does this acting like nothing happened to try to get your mind off of what your thinking. He's had to do this his whole life to make himself feel better.
I smile a little knowing that nothing can touch Dominick's personality that even if his life is surrounded by death and killing he will still be the jokester that we all know. " What" I ask, I skip a rock and it jumps only once but when Dominick skips a rock it jumps about five times.
" If every person could move from place to place just by jumping" he says and a wide grin spread across his face " Or if people could heal almost instantly, or people could grow plants just with their finger," he said and I knew what he was doing he was trying to cheer me up. That we're stuck with having powers so we might as well enjoy them.  Ana walks up to us giving me a hug and sitting next to me for a minute I take this in just imagining when we would all go down to the ocean and sit by the dock our feet enjoying the water. When we walk back everyone is packed they were waiting for us or actually waiting for Dominick. Sylvie goes first in almost an instant Dominick's back his body going from dust to him then Zinnia goes she screams a little and again Dominick's back when he finally gets to me he grabs onto my shoulder and I feel my stomach lurch forward almost like I was falling. When we reach the place I see Sylvie sitting in a chair looking sick to her stomach I don't blame her that was probably the worst thing in the world traveling like that. Wyatt, Andrew, and Zinnia were talking. Andrew looked sad and I have to remind myself that the last time he traveled like that was when he watched everyone he knows die right before his eyes.
Ana walks up to me and whispers " How are you doing?" she asks this was the first time someone has asked me this today.
" I don't know," I say and truthfully I do know how I feel, I feel disappointed in myself for not being able to protect the ones I care for. Disappointed that we had to leave everything behind. Ana walks over to a bay window and I follow her. The cabin was a nice size for the seven of us someone would have to sleep on the couch though. Ana sits on one wall looking out at the fall leaves. The pond outside was crystal clear sparkling in the fall sunlight it was Ana's favorite season she looks so peaceful here her birthday is soon too but I doubt we can do anything, everything that's going on doesn't exactly scream celebration. Sylvie runs to the bathroom and Dominick follows. Good luck you two I think to myself and start smiling. For once I feel safe and confident we will survive whatever war is going on here. I still miss my aunt and uncle but I have other people that I need to take care of now like Zinnia, Ana, Sylvie and I need to make a plan to get everyone else back.
