AUBREY

I glared at Drew and smacked the back of his head. We are with our usual group walking towards the parking lot while discussing who will pick up who this evening, classes ended like thirty minutes ago so we are all in our way home. It's already end of the month and the past weeks Drew and I became really close after the movie a couple of weeks ago, he would come over to my house and we would work on our History project. Actually we finished it last Monday and we passed it this morning, he did most of the work of course but he still insisted on coming to my house even though we had nothing to do, at school we stayed together most of the time, I have no idea how he manages to be in the same place where I am, he's acting like a stalker in a none creepy way. Is that possible?

I guess it helped that we've been spending time together almost all the time because I don't get nervous anymore when he's close in fact I felt comfortable but not too close because when he's like a few inches away from me I would get nervous all over again. Drew and Jace became closer to my group of friends too. Yes, Drew would still throw in rude comments here in there and as always I would hit him just like today. Everyone has gotten used to the way Drew acts, you know, a jerk?

"Why do you keep doing that?" he asked.

"If you don't have anything good to say then shut up!" I hissed but my answer was drowned out by Jace's laughter

Drew scowled at Jace. "Keep laughing and you will regret it" Drew said in his most calm voice and Jace gulped.

"NO!" Jace said then ran as fast as he could.

"Now that I have no one to punish you will have to do" Drew said looking at me and I gulped just like what Jace did earlier. I mustered up all my courage, if I had any and rolled my eyes

"Stop acting so superior" I said and he arched a brow.

"Am I acting that way?"

I nodded, "you always do, even wh-" I started to say but was cut off when he carried me on his shoulders.

"Drew put me down!" I shrieked.

"NO" he said sternly and walked towards my car. Our friends started laughing and I couldn't help the embarrassment from my face to show.

Once we reached my car Drew placed me back down.

"God that was embarrassing, I'm wearing a skirt for goodness sake" I said fixing my uniform, that's the downside of attending a private school, THE DREADED UNIFORMS.

"What do you think I feel when you hit the back of my head?" he questioned, I rolled my eyes.

"I wouldn't hit you in the first place if you would just keep your rude remarks to yourself" I said, he grinned like what I said was funny.

"It was the truth though" he defended.

I exhaled in defeat, "still, didn't your parents taught you to shut up if you have nothing good to say?" I questioned him and he seemed to disappear into another world.

"No they didn't" he said barely a whisper, I wondered if I heard that wrong?

"What?" he shrugged.

"You smell different" he blurted out of nowhere. That is one hell of a jump of topic.

I gawked at him dumb founded, "what are you, a creep?" I asked him with so much incredulity in my voice.

"Why?" he asked me looking confused

"What do you mean I smell different?" I questioned him and he shrugged.

"You used to smell like pomegranate" I stood there frozen
