It had been a week since you returned to Gotham. You had recovered a bit more but not nearly enough to get back into action. You could walk around on your own and you can now lift up your arm. The bruises still remained to but honestly, you were doing great. You hung around the Manor during the day while everyone else attended school or went on some investigation. Alfred was pretty chill for the most part as well.
Alfred: Master Y/N, would you like some tea.
Y/N: Only if you join me.
Alfred offered a smile and dissapeared back into the kitchen. You sighed as you looked around the empty mansion. Bruce was away with the Leauge, Dick was investigating something at Bludhaven, Jason was with the Outlaws, Tim, Stephanie, Cassandra, and Damien were at school, Barbara was away on some other business, Azral was god knows where, and Duke was working. It was just you a Alfred.
Y/N: Hey Alfred?
Alfred: Yes?
Y/N: How long have I been here for?
Alfred had to think about it.
Alfred: You came here near the end of December. If I'm correct, 6 months or so seeing as it is April.
6 months. So much has happened in those 6 months (*see chapters 1-17). You pulled out your phone and sent a out a quick text as Alfred set the tea in front of you.
Alfred: So how has the recovery been?
---------
You walked around mindlessly around the Batcave as you decided to explore every area thoroughly. It was a huge place with the batplane, batboat, batmobile, batcycle, bathelicopter, batbats, batcomputer...who the hell named all of these? You took a seat on the bat chair, haha get it?, and began to look through some old case files. Most of them were already closed while the rest were pending. Seemed like normal cases so you just skimmed through them until you got to one that wasn't green or yellow. A cold case. You clicked it and read the information. It wasn't a whole lot either. It was actually about the scarecrow's fear toxin from that night (*see chapters 5-7). You read through what the computer had. Black Mask was in jail as was Two-Face but it seems like Cane was never found.
Y/N: Weird. Seems like he got away. I thought the Outlaws got him.
You read through the file some more before a hand gripped your shoulder. You jumped in surprise only to find Cassandra looking at the file as well. You noticed that her hair was a bit longer than before.
Y/N: Oh it's just you. You seen this file yet?
Cassandra shook her head. You turned back to the computer but realized something.
Y/N: Shouldn't you be at school?
Cassandra nodded. She walked towards the desktop and leaned against it. You downloaded the file and sent it to Bruce for further investigation.
Y/N: Man, this sucks. I hate being stuck here.
Stephanie: Then why don't we go out?
You spun the chair and found Stephanie and Tim also in the cave in their school uniforms. Stephanie latched onto Tim's arm with a gleeful expression.
Stephanie: It could be like a double date!
Tim laughed awkwardly as his eyes drifted towards you. Ok so the last time you went on a date didn't go so well (*read the last arc), but it wasn't like it could happen again. Right? Right?!
Cassandra seemed to be thinking about it as well.
Y/N: Hell, why not? You like to go on a double date with me?
She looked at you for a moment before nodding. You stood up and stretched a bit.
Y/N: Great. Everyone change and we'll head out. Pretty sure you all ditched so the uniforms have to go.
--------
You walked down the street now dressed in a pair of jeans, you were really digging the jeans, and a white shirt with a black and yellow flannel. Next to you was Cassandra who was also wearing a pair of jeans with a blue superman shirt. Stephanie wore a red shirt with a white coat over it and some skinny jeans while Tim wore a red shirt with a pair of shorts. The four of you looked like normal ass teenagers. Yay. You get a cookie.
Tim: So what should we do first?
Stephanie: I'm kind of hungry. Can we stop by for food or something?
You second that choice and the four of you headed towards the diner around the corner. You were surprised to see Gi'mees. It's still around in your time. Amazing. You all found a booth, Stephanie and Tim taking one side while you and Cassandra took the other, and ordered some food. You checked your phone real quick to see a photo attached to the text of Booster and his buddy Blue Beetle.
Y/N: So he's still alive. Good.
You put your phone away just as the waitress placed two milkshakes onto the table. Each had two straws.
Tim: We didn't order these.
Witress: No but the people who did just left. We didn't want to throw them away and you four are the only ones here so it's on the house.
She left. Stephanie just shrugged and began to drink from the one in front of her and Tim. Tim eventually joined in and the two actually looked like a couple. You smiled before realizing that there was only one left which was between you and Cassandra. You both looked at each other then looked away. Nope. Not happening. The food arrived soon after.
As you all walked around the, nicer parts of the city you talked and caught up with everything you had missed while you were with the Titans. Tim told you a few stories from his time at the tower and Stephanie told you guys about the Team's latest mission. Your phone suddenly went off and you excused yourself.
Y/N: Hello?
Bruce: Y/N. I read over the file you sent me.
Y/N: And?
Bruce: You can investigate it. It'll have to be an undercover operation. I'll inform Dick and he'll take over from there.
You nodded.
Y/N: Alright. Thanks Bruce.
The phone went dead and you slid it back into your pocket. Looks like you got a new mission. But for now, you were just a teenager. And you were enjoying your time.
