You groaned as you opened your eyes. Your gaze turned to digital clock on your nightstand. You had to get up, get dressed, and go to school. What about after that? Training, chores, patrol. You sighed. You pushed yourself up and quickly washed up before changing into your school uniform.
You stepped out into the living room where everyone else was. Bruce and Clark pulled more strings, surprise surprise, and got everyone else into the school as well. Guess it helps to have Bruce Wayne as your number one benefactor.
Jason: About time you woke up. I was going to...uh. You ok bro?
Everyone looked at you but you just waved it off.
Y/N: I'll live.
You grabbed your bag and headed for the elevator. You managed to sleep through your first two periods and by lunch, you were feeling slightly better. You just needed some rest.
Tim: Yikes. You look bad.
Debra: That's an understatement.
You lifted your head to see the two approching your desk. Tim handed you a can of coffee and you gladly took it. You slammed it before you threw it into the trash across the room.
Tim: You need some rest dude.
Debra: That's right. You never got to relax at the beach. You and Terry did that whole magic thing.
Tim: That explains why I found him passed out in the library.
You just grunted before you dropped your head on the table. There was one good thing to come out of any of this. The support you've gathered for abolishing the Underage Hero Law was growing thanks to your team's efforts to keep Gotham and the surrounding areas safe. Hell, even the military offers seemed to have realized that you were going better than the police were.
Mia: Chief?
The three of you looked over to see Mia standing there. It was kind of weird to see her here since she was a sophomore and you were all seniors.
Y/N: What's up?
Mia: I was just wondering if you wanted to come with me to get some lunch? I never been to the cafeteria before.
You pushed yourself up and smiled.
Y/N: Sure. Let's go.
The two of you walked through the halls and you actually took the time to realize that she was much shorter than you. Hell, Damien might actually be taller. She was around 5.3" or 5.4" while you were a good 6.2". It was actually kind of funny.
Y/N: How are you fitting in so far?
Mia: Good. Everyone has been nice and I have Bart is in two of my classes. Stephanie and Cassandra even came to check in on me during one of the breaks.
Y/N: That's nice to hear.
Mia stayed quiet for a moment before she looked up at you.
Mia: Thank you, for everything you've done so far.
You just smiled.
Y/N: Don't mention it. You're apart of this crazy, fucked up family now.
Mia laughed as the two of you headed to the mess hall.
----------
Y/N: Aaaaaand, done. You wiped your hands as you looked at the spotless training room.
Y/N: It honestly scares me how good I am at this.
You placed the mop away before the door opened and Cassandra walked in.
Y/N: Hey killer.
Cassandra: Hello. Are you done?
You nodded.
Y/N: As clean as, whatever is super clean. I dunno.
Cassandra looked over at the mat and walked to it. She turned back to you and gave a "come and get me" motion which made you smirk. You rolled your eyes and pulled your shirt off which left you in a white tank top. Cassandra pulled her shirt as well leaving her in a black sports bra and the two of you took up fighting stances.
She threw the first attack, a jab, but you caught it and tried to deliver a kick to her side. She blocked it and immediately threw a leg up which wrapped around the back of your neck. Her momentum caused you to slam on the ground. Cassandra stopped her fist right before it hit your face.
Y/N: Not bad.
Cassandra: I won.
You grabbed her wrist and in a blink of an eye, you had switched positions and you were now on top of her with a hand hovering over her neck.
Y/N: I don't think so.
And just like that, Cassandra was back on top.
Cassandra: I do.
You both were smiling before you realized your had on her side. Her skin was so warm against your hand. You soon found yourself moving your hand across her torso which made Cassandra shutter a bit. You could hear her breath hitch when your hand gazed the edge of her sports bra. You ended up meeting her gaze as the two of you stared at each other.
She didn't fight you as you rolled the two of you over so that you were on top. You could actually feel your heart beat race as you looked at her. You slowly, hesitantly, reached up to brush a strain of hair from her face.
Cassandra: What will you do?
You didn't even hear her. You just read her lips. Her, soft, lips. You didn't even realize how close you were until you felt her breath on your lips. Your hand still rested on her side and you could feel her body get hotter. You just looked into each others eyes as you slowly leaned closer. Your lips brushed before the door opened and you sat up.
Bart: We finished our chores! Can we play games now?!
Y/N: Th, yeah?
Bart shouted and ran back out of the room. Cassandra sat up and the two of you snapped back into reality as you realized what you almost did. You both stood up and you immediately threw on your shirt.
Y/N: I'm, uh, sorry.
Cassandra: Me to.
You both stood there for a moment before you turned to the door.
Y/N: I should, uh, check in on the, uh, others.
Cassandra: Yes.
You stood there for a moment before you left. Once you were far enough down the hall, you grabbed your head.
Y/N: What the fuck was that?!
