You woke up and looked at your clock. You groaned when you saw that you were running behind again. You threw on your clothes and headed out of your room. You made it to the living room where Jason immediately spotted you.

Jason: Go back to bed.

Y/N: What? I have chores. Plus I have day patrol.

Jason: You look like shit. Go to bed. I'll have someone else cover for you. No one has school.

You shook your head.

Y/N: I have responsibilities Jay. I need to set an example.

Jason: And what example are you setting by pushing yourself like this?

You just rolled your eyes before you felt yourself get lifted up.

Cassie: Bedtime.

Your eyes widened when you recognized the voice. Wait, how? You only met her once. No. What?

Y/N: What are you doing here?

Cassie: I came by to join you all. Looks like I can just in time to put you to sleep. Seriously dude, you look like you're about to pass out at any moment.

Y/N: I'm fine.

Cassie: No, you're not. Come on. Let's go.

She turned around with you still trapped in her grasp as she marched down the hall. You struggled a bit begore you gave in and allowed her to carry you to your room. Once you reached the door, she set you down.

Y/N: I'm not a child.

Cassie: Then stop acting like one. I'll take your patrol for you. Go to sleep.

You just rolled your eyes and turned to enter your room. You closed the door behind you and crawled back into bed. Might as well get some rest.

Jason: Y/N? You still alive in here?

He creaked open the door and peeked inside to see you out cold. He chuckled a bit and closed the door before he headed back to the living room. He saw everyone doing their own thing and figured now would be a good time to take a break.

He made his way up to the roof where he was surprised to find Cassandra sitting alone. He decided to leave her alone and walked over to a open soaced where he pulled out a pack of cigarettes. He lit one and took a drag before he looked back to the silent bat.

Jason: You good kid?

Cassandra looked over to him and nodded. Yeah, Jason didn't believe that. He looked at his cigarette, tossed it down, and walked over to the young bat. He sat down on the bench and sighed.

Jason: Talk.

Cassandra looked at him for a moment to see if he was joking.

Jason: Hurry up.

Cassandra just looked down for a moment.

Cassandra: I like Y/N.

Jason: So I've gathered.

Cassandra: I almost kissed him.

Jason: Nice.

Cassandra: I have not talked to him since.

Jason: I think I get it now.

He turuned his head to look at his adopted little sister.

Jason: You're conflicted. I get it. I've had some complicated relationships in my time. You care for him a lot.

Cassandra: What do I do?

Jason: Hell if I know. Fuck him already?

Cassandra looked at him horrified.

Cassandra: Jason!

Jason: Not my fault you guys have so much sexual tension. Either you tell him how you feel or you fuck him. That's my advice. And if you do go with option number 2, do it when I'm not here.

Cassandra: You are the worst. Your advice is terrible.

Jason: So I am told.

Jason chuckled as he nudged the girl.

Jason: Cheer up. As much as you kids get on my nerves, you all always do the right thing in end.

He smirked.

Jason: And don't tell the others but, you're my favorite adopted sibling.

He stood up and popped his back before he turned back to the door.

Jason: Shit. I didn't even take my break.

He stepped back into the building and left Cassandra alone to think. She looked down at her feet and thought.

Lilith and Raven hung around in the living room while Zachary tried to do a normal card trick without any magic. Everyone turned when they heard shuffling. They watched as you shuffled into the room with a blanket wrapped around you. You sat down between the two girls and picked a card from Zachary's deck.

Zachary: Uh, put it back?

You did so and he shuffled it. He then held up a card and you shook your head. He held up another and you shook your head. As he got frustrated, you showed Raven the card you still had. She tried to hide her laughter as Zachary held up another card. You finally felt bad enough to show him the king of hearts making him groan.

Zachary: I don't get these tricks!

He tossed the deck down as the rest of you laughed. Jason entered the room and saw you. He ruffled your hair on his way to the kitchen.

Jason: You feeling better?

Y/N: Yeah. I really needed that. Thanks.

You felt someone push your head and you looked up to see Cassie standing there.

Cassie: I told you. Now, you're buying me lunch for covering your patrol.

You just groaned as you stood up.

Y/N: Fine. Let me change.

You headed back to your room. On the way, you ended up finding Cassandra coming back in from the roof. Things were a bit awkward between the two of you since yesterday's, uh, events. She noticed you and you raised a hand.

Y/N: Hey killer.

Cassandra: Hello.

You both stood there awkwardly for a moment.

Y/N: Uh, make sure your chores get done. I'll be back later.

Cassandra: Are you leaving?

You nodded.

Y/N: Only for a bit. I owe Cassie lunch for covering for me.

Cassandra: Ok. Have fun.

She rushed past you as you sighed. You ducked into your room to change.
