OK ya'll, let's just pretend that one chapter never existed. Fresh slate. OK. Yeah. I can do that.
You woke up with a groan before you sat up. You were sore from your training lesson with Terry and your practice with Cassandra. Seriously, did anyone in this family ever take it easy? You hopped out of bed and got dresses before there was a knock on your door.
Stephanie: Can I come in?
Y/N: Go ahead.
She opened the door and stepped in. She was already dressed for the day, a pair of white shorts, a red shirt, and jean jacket, meaning she was most likely going to ask you to go hang out or something.
Stephanie: Morning.
You grunted as a response before oulling on a F/C shirt.
Stephanie: You have any plans for today?
Y/N: Do I ever have plans?
Stephanie shrugged.
Stephanie: In that case, wanna come with me and Tim to Mount Justice?
You laughed a bit.
Y/N: What kind of lame ass name is that?
Stephanie pouted.
Stephanie: It's the base for the Team. I figured you were tired of being stuck in the Manor.
You gave it some thought. Maybe some fresh air could do you some good. Maybe you could try to make up with her.
Y/N: Alright. I'll go.
She gave a small cheer.
Stephanie: Great! Not a lot of people will be there though. Only Bart, Cassie, me, and Tim. Maybe even Garfield if he's taking a break from his "tour".
You recognized some of those names from the party Bruce threw after you "returned". You were really hoping they weren't expecting you to be some merry go lucky guy. Regardless, this was a chance to get things back to normal now. Maybe even get Tim off your back finally.
Y/N: Alright. When are we leaving?
----------
You looked around the inside of the mountain impressed. This was some high quality shit.Tim: And that's the kitchen. If you see Garfield in there, just stop him.
Y/N: Noted.
No one was at the base at the moment meaning it was just the three of you. Stephanie had left to go get something from her room which left you alone with Tim. This was a bit awkward. What were you even supposed to say. Were you supposed to apologize? You should. You didn't want to but, you should.
Y/N: Hey, um, Tim.
He looked at you as you leaned against the counter.
Y/N: I was hoping we could talk. About everything that's been happening recently.
Tim: You mean about you being a dick to everyone.
Ouch. Ture but, ouch.
Y/N: Yeah. That. About that...
Tim: Cassandra pretty much filled me in. I get you're not the same Y/N we knew but that doesn't mean you have to be this way. Stephanie and Debra were really hurt by your attitude towards them.
Y/N: I noticed. I plan on apologizing to them later on but I figured we should talk now. You know, since we're both here.
Tim crossed his arms and leaned against the counter across from you. At least he was willing to hear you out.
Y/N: Look, I know I can be a bit rough at times. I beat the shit out of criminals more than I should. I need to work on that. It's just, as far as I know, this is how I always did things. For as lomg as I could remember. Literally.
Tim nodded. He didn't say anything so you contiued.
Y/N: As for my attitude, I felt like you guys were expecting me to be this person you already knew. It pissed me off to no end and I felt trapped in that damn Manor. I don't have a place to go back to anymore meaning I'm stuck here now. Permanently. Everything just began to pile up so fast and so much that I just, I ended up being a jerk towards everyone.
Tim shook his head.
Tim: You're right. All of us treated you like the Y/N we knew. That was wrong of us. That's on us. As for everything else, that takes a lot of guts and pride to admit your short comings like that. I get where you're coming from. I was the same way after my father died.
He stood up and placed a hand on your shoulder.
Tim: Look, Y/N. You may not be the same person I knew before your timeline was erased. You're willing to change for the better and become stronger. Even though you may be a jerk sometimes, you're my brother through and through. Always.
You smiled at hearing that.
Y/N: Yeah. Whatever you nerd.
You and Tim shared a laugh before Stephanie returned. She looked at the two of you and smiled. Seems like you finally made up with each other.
Stephanie: The others will be here in an hour or so. Anyone want to help me bake cookies?
Tim looked at you and shook his head.
Tim: Actually, I'll take care of that. Can you show Y/N around the base some more? Just so he's familiar.
Stephanie was caught off guard by this. Things were still a bit tense with you and her but she didn't want to turn down a chance to get on your good side again.
Stephanie: Sure. Just, uh, follow me.
You nodded and followed the young hero as she led you through the mountain. Tim watched the two of you and smiled.
Tim: That look in his eye, that's my brother.
