E.J.'s POV

My hands were shaking as I slid down against the bathroom stall. Thankfully no one was in here. I let out a choked sob. My shaky hands pulled out my phone and clicked on a name.

The phone rang until I heard:

"Hey, it's Nini, talk to me me."

Fuck she didn't answer. I ran my hands through my hair not knowing what to do. My phone rang and Nini's contact flashed on my screen.

"Hello," I answered shakily.

"E.J., where are you? Are you okay?" She asked me full of concern.

"No, I'm not I can barely breathe and I didn't bring my inhaler," I told her.

"Okay, I'm gonna hand the phone to Ricky while I look in my bag for my inhaler." She told me. I nodded my head even though she couldn't see it.

"E.J., where are you?" came the voice of Ricky on the other line.

"The bathroom near the computer lab," I told him.

"Okay stay on the line yeah?" He told me. "I'm on my way. I have the inhaler."

Less than 5 minutes later, I heard the bathroom door close.

"E.J.?" Ricky called out. Hearing his voice in person comforted me.

"In here," I called out to him. I unlocked the stall and let him in. He sat on the floor with me handing me the inhaler and pulling me close in his arms. I started crying and he just held me close and played with my hair.

Once I finally got my breathing under control he spoke.

"What's up E.J.? What happened?" He asked me softly.

"My mom told my aunt and uncle she wanted to meet with them and me but I declined. Today she got my number off my uncle's phone and texted me and she said I have siblings and she really wants to meet with me and I really hate her and I don't want to be mean and not meet my siblings because none of this is their fault." I rambled out to him.

"Even if you don't want to be mean to your siblings you have to put yourself first," Ricky told me. "Your feelings are totally valid."

"I just want to know if I have to save them. I don't want them to go through what I did." I told him.

"I get you. If you decide to go, I'll be with you 100% of the way. I'll go with you." He told me.

"I don't deserve you, Ricky Bowen," I told him giving him a small smile.

"You deserve the world, E.J. Caswell," He told me.

We looked each other in the eyes and leaned in closing the space between us. I had the best boyfriend ever.
