Gina's POV
After four periods that seemed to go by slow as hell, it was finally lunchtime and I could finally meet up with my friends and most importantly my girlfriend.
"You look dead." Big Red commented when I go to the table. I took a seat next to Nini who smiled at me.
"That's because I am dead on the inside," I said groaning while pulling my lunch out of my bag. Everyone at the table laughed at my statement.
"Where are the loverboys?" I asked meaning E.J. and Ricky. They were normally at the table before I was. "Doing a quicky?" The only reason I made jokes about their sex life so much because I knew it made Ricky blush hard. I enjoyed messing with Ricky but if anyone outside of our friend group dared messed with him I wouldn't hesitate to knock them out cold.
"Haha very funny Gina," E.J. said when he got to the table. "A good idea but it's not what we were doing." As per usual Ricky was blushing at my statement. He knew I was joking and I asked him constantly if it was fine that I made jokes.
Ricky and E.J. sat at the table and began eating their food. Nini was currently next to me laying her head on my shoulder.
"Ricky, when you're done eating, can we talk?" My girlfriend told Ricky, who's mouth was currently full of food.
"Uh yeah. I'm done anyway," He told her and the two of them left the cafeteria.
"What's up with them?" Big Red asked curiously. Personally I had no clue but Ricky was my friend so I had noticed he'd wore long sleeves yesterday and today was wearing E.J.'s varsity jacket, which he looked really adorable in but that's beside the point. It was obvious something happened but it also wasn't my place to invade his personal business. If he wanted me to know then I would know.
"Uh, I don't know," E.J. said but I didn't miss the worried look on his face. He knew what was happening but like I said it wasn't my place.
"Anyways how was your sleepover with Ricky? You know besides the fact you marked him." I said with a smirk on my face. Joking with E.J. was fun because he'd clap right-back or say something snarky back.
"Haha very funny, me marking him was a heat in the moment thing this morning." He told me. Big Red looked mortified and I didn't blame the guy, we were talking about his best friend. Did that stop me from continuing? Definitely not.
"Had to mark him before school? How come?" I asked trying not to laugh.
"Had to show everyone he's mine." He responded winking at me.
"Please stop." Big Red said. It must have been awkward as hell for him hearing about his best friend.
"Sorry dude," E.J. said laughing. I was also laughing but I apologized to Big Red because I'm not a complete asshole.
Ricky and Nini came back shortly afterward and soon the bell rang sending us off to the last two classes. After going to the last two classes it was finally time to go home. I was so grateful for school to be over and to be able to walk home with my girlfriend.
"Cmon Nini, let's go and not be here any longer than we have too," I told her grabbing her hand pulling her with him. She laughed at my antics.
"School isn't that bad, love." She told me. My heart fluttered at the pet name.
"It is," I whined.
"Fine, fine," She told me playfully rolling her eyes.
"Can we please just drop out?" I told her.
"Gina Porter, we are not going to be high school dropouts." She scolded me. I pouted in response. This school thing was no longer for me. Before I knew it Nini and I was standing outside of my house.
"Well, I'll see you tomorrow," I said while hugging her goodbye. Nini kissed me and I instantly kiss back and by the time we broke apart we were both breathless.
"I'll see you tomorrow, love." She told me before walking away.
God, I love that girl.
