Chapter 22

Gina's POV

Nini laid next to me panting. It was 3 in the morning. We looked at each other and laughed. Nini cuddled closer to me.

"Let's talk about the conservatory," I told my girlfriend.

"Well if what we just did is a reason for me to stay then I might be convinced," Nini said laughing.

"You dork," I said laughing. "I really meant what I said. If you want to go then go. I want you to choose for you."

"I've been thinking about it," Nini told me. "I don't think I want to go. I thought about what I'd be leaving behind my moms, my friends, Ricky."

"And me," I said smiled.

"Of course," She told kissing me.

"Are you sure this is what you want though?" I asked her. I didn't want her not going just because of what everyone else wanted.

"I'm sure Gina," she told me.

"Good," I said before cuddling her close and falling asleep.

"Good morning beautiful," Nini's voice said when I woke up.

"Good morning," I told her back. "What's the plan for today?"

"Uh let's invite everyone over again," Nini said. "We can have a movie day or play board games."

"Sounds like a plan," I said. I texted the group chat letting everyone know we were meeting at Nini's house again.

A knock on Nini's door made Nini get up and answer it.

"Board game day?" Ricky asked with a smile holding his phone.

"Heck yeah dude. I'm ready to smash you guys in uno," I told him playfully punching him in the arm.

"Just like you smashed Nini last night," E.J. said smirking.

"You guys could hear that?" Nini said her eyes wide.

"We could hear the bed hitting the wall," E.J. said laughing.

I didn't know what to say. Normally I'd clap back but I was at a loss.

"Can we play uno?" Ricky asked trying to change the subject.

"Of course we can," I said to Ricky and he smiled. I loved seeing so happy.

Game day was a success despite E.J. cheating a lot. It was good to see Ricky happy and without a care in a world. It was like all his problems were gone and he was just himself again. He was gaining weight and was starting to even look like his old self. He was eating regularly and taking his medicine without complaints. I was so proud of Ricky Bowen.
