Chapter 19

Gina's POV

"I'm gonna go," E.J. said leaving me and Nini alone. What were her and E.J. talking about? What didn't Nini know how to say? Was she breaking up with me? Oh did she was breaking up with me.

"Gina, I got accepted to the Youth Actor's Conservatory," Nini told me.

"That's wonderful Nini, why were you scared to tell me?" I asked her. So she was going to some acting school? She'd still be close and I could see her all the time still.

"It's in Denver," Nini told me and my face fell. That's why she didn't want to tell me. She was scared of my reaction. I didn't want her to go, I know that's selfish of me but I don't want her to leave Salt Lake City.

"Nini what about everything we planned?" I asked. We planned to enjoy Nini's senior year together and then Nini would go to BYU and then I would join her there once I graduated high school.

"I know we could still do it, I can still go to BYU," She told me. I could tell she was trying to find some middle ground here.

"What about the year without you?" I asked. "What am I supposed to do?"

"I don't know. You won't be alone you have Ricky, Ashlyn, and even E.J.," She reminded me

"None of them are you Nini," I said. "I love them but their not you. Anyways we can talk about this later, for now let's make sure Ricky has a good night." Nini nodded and we joined everyone else back in the living room. E.J. gave us a look, wondering if we talked about the school.

"So Ricky what's better my muffin or Ashlyn's cookie?" Seb asked Ricky. Ricky thought for a moment before answering.

"Sorry Ashlyn but I have to go with Seb's muffins," Ricky said. Seb did a little dance while Ashlyn pouted. Kourtney put her arm around her girlfriend in an effort to comfort her.

Nini's mom Dana came in the living room and gave Ricky his pills to take. She always gave them to him to make sure he was actually taking them and the only way she could be sure is if she hands them to him personally. She and her wife were taking really good care of Ricky. They really cared about his wellbeing.

"Since we're all here I have something to say," Big Red said. "I have a girlfriend from Robotics club. Her name is Jill and she may be on her way?"

"Big Red finally has a girlfriend," I cheered. He blushed and looked down. "I'm excited to meet her" Everyone agreed.

"Can't believe my best friend has a girl friend," Ricky said from where he was now seated on E.J.'s lap. I rolled my eyes at them. Leave it to those two to always being so close like they were magnets.

"I'm gonna go to my room for a bit," Nini said suddenly getting up. I could tell she was upset. I followed her upstairs to her room.

"I'm sorry Nini, if you want to go I support you, I'm being selfish," I admitted to her. I hated admitting I was wrong.

"I don't know if I want to take it. It's a great opportunity but at the same time I have so much here," she told me. "It's hard deciding, you know?"

"Yeah but whatever you decide I'll be your number one fan," I said giving her a kiss on her forehead.
