I was walking home from school with my friends like I usually do. Amy was of course bragging about her boyfriend.

"He got me this bracelet. And I couldn't be happier." She said as she showed a cheap gold chain with her initials on a plastic heart.

"That's so cute. Girl, I'm so happy for you." I said hugging her.

Jen didn't say anything and just kept looking straight.

"Are you ok Jen?" I asked Her.

"Yeah, I'm fine." She said and looked behind us. We followed her but there was nothing to be found.

"What's wrong?" Amy asked her.

"Paranoia?" I asked her with a little giggle.

"Yeah." She giggled back.

"Look. We've been walking this street for the past 3 years. It's safe." I said while I put my hand on her shoulders.

"Why am I recently so paranoid?" She asked.

"If only we knew what happens inside this little head of yours," I said and lightly tapped Jen's forehead.

"Thanks." She laughed.

*10 minutes later*

I finally got home and my mom ran up to me and hugged me.

"Woah what happened?" I asked her in shock.

"J-Jason M-McCann is back in Stratford." She said in a shaky voice.

"What does he want now? And is there any news on the girl?" I asked while I took my outdoor wear off.

"I mean I'm guessing he's trying to get another victim. 20 people have been found dead in the areas that he was suspected to have visited." She explained. "And no there's still no news on that girl." She added.

"Ugh. I hate him so much. He's such a cruel excuse of a human." I said and buried my head in my hands.

"Please stay home tomorrow. I worry about you too much." She said. "Invite your friends over."

"With pleasure," I said and grabbed my phone.

Tal: Hey girls. We're skipping school. You're coming over to mine. McCann is back in town.

Jen: Trust me I'll quickly show up

Amy: Same here. Not trying to be a McCann victim

Tal: Cool get here tomorrow quickly and safely

*Next day*

The girls came around 10 a.m.

"Was that the strange paranoia gut feeling that I had?" Jen asked and me and Amy froze.

"What if- what if he's searching for one of us and knows we walk there," I asked and grabbed the computer and searched for information and Jason.

"I found all of Jason's victims," I said looking through the website.

"What did you find?" Amy asked looking over my shoulder.

"His first victim was Erika Evans. She was single. She was never found. It was known that McCann took her as he left a note saying. "She's in good hands ;)-J.M" His second victim was Cordelia Moir. She was also single. And she was also never found. The same note was found at the doorstep of her house. The next victim was Bianca Piper. She like the other two was single. She was also never found. There are some signs she could be dead but so could the rest. The same note was found on her... bedroom sill." This sent shivers down our spines. But I continued reading. "His most recent victim was Claudia Fontes. She was also... single. She has also still not been found. The same note was found on the kitchen table." This information made all of us pale.

"Have you guys noticed the trend?" Jen asked.

"Yes, all of them were single," Amy replied.

"It's as if he isn't trying to get with his victims," I said.

"There are quotes from their parents," Jen said and grabbed the computer off of me. "This is from Erika's parents... and all the others... holy shit. "She started getting strange texts out of nowhere. We started to worry about them but they just seemed as if it was one of her classmates. So, we just let it slide. Soon she stopped going out because she would notice a black car following her. When she thought it was clear, she went out to hang out with her friends. That was the last time we saw her." This is terrifying." Jen said.

"I'm so scared of what will happen," I said.

"Tal, you're the only single one here. I have my girlfriend and Amy has her boyfriend. We're worried about you." Jen said and I froze.

Soon we got a call from my mom who was downstairs. And she told us news that horrified us.
