Talia

"You like me," Jason smirked.

"I don't," I responded. "You're a monster that doesn't deserve it." I snapped while standing up.

He gently grabbed my arm, he was trying to be gentle but his grip was strong enough to keep me in place.

"You're in denial." He said and pulled me to him. He started to gently caress my cheek, to which I smacked his hand off. "It's called Stockholm syndrome, baby girl." He whispered, which sent shivers down my spine.

"I don't want to be with you. Not after everything you put me through." I said as I ripped myself from him and curled into a ball on the couch.

"I'm not excusing my behavior. You do what feels right." He said and gently pushed the hair out of my face.

"That's the thing, what feels right, feels wrong." I cried as I buried my face in my legs.

"What is it then?" He asked.

"I want to push you onto the couch get on top of you and make out with you," I responded. I felt almost compelled to respond as I was afraid he would try to do something to hurt me.

"Then why won't you do it?" He asked. I looked over in his direction and realized he was smiling.

"Because it's wrong. I shouldn't feel anything but hatred towards you." I said loudly and stomped over to my bedroom. "You're just a sad, daddy issues-ridden boy who's stuck in his fuck boy era," I muttered under my breath.

The second I said that I was waiting for Jason to attack me but there was nothing, he just switched the programs to a different one.

I stomped into the bedroom, went into the en-suite bathroom to take a shower, and got into my pajamas before hiding under the covers. I didn't want to look at Jason, he put me through so much trauma and so much hurt and abuse and yet I'm FALLING FOR HIM.

Nope, not going to happen I will not give him the satisfaction of his plan going correctly.

Jason

"You're just a sad, daddy issues-ridden boy who's stuck in his fuck boy era!" Talia shouted before stomping out of the room. Part of me wanted to run after her and punish her but I decided to give her the chance to redeem myself.

I started flipping through different programs as I heard her shower. Still, I wanted to go to the bedroom and just see if I have any chance with her but first I need to get her to trust me.

I walked into our bedroom to see what she was up to, I noticed the window was open and she was nowhere to be seen.

I immediately sprinted to that window and screamed. "TALIA!"

"I recommend going to an optician if you can't see me." I heard from under the covers which calmed me down.

"Why's the window open?" I asked her.

"Because it stank like shit when I walked in here. Don't worry I wasn't planning anything. I can only imagine what you would do if you found me." She answered as she revealed herself.

"Follow-up question, Why are you hiding?" I then asked.

"Because I was afraid you'd hurt me after what I said to you." She responded. "Do you want to maybe join me?" She asked gently uncovering the sheets.

"Gladly." I smiled. "I'm going to assume you're taking baby steps," I said as I made my way to the shower.

"If you can't beat them, join them." She responded.

I smiled and then went to take a shower. I dried off the best I could and walked back into the bedroom. Talia was lying on the bed cuddling her pillow.

"Hey, pretty girl," I said to her.

"I'm not a dog. But I like that title." She chuckled.

I got under the covers after turning the lights off and closing the window.

I wrapped my arm around her waist, pulling her closer to me.

I started kissing her neck, to which I felt her shudder under my touch so I pulled away.

"Sorry," I whispered before closing my eyes and going to sleep.

The next morning I woke up to Talia quietly snoring next to me. I checked the time and saw 9:34 at the top and a bunch of missed messages below it.

I kissed the back of Talia's head and got up to make breakfast. I made a simple egg scramble and served it. After eating mine, I waited for Talia to wake up.

A few minutes passed of me scrolling through my phone and I heard a crash and then a scream coming from the bedroom.

I got up immediately and ran into it to see what happened.

Talia

I could smell Jason making egg scramble but I was too tired to get up and eat so I just laid and contemplated life. As I was about to get up, something was thrown at the window breaking it into pieces. I screamed as a result and then saw Cedric appear in the window frame.

"Morning sunshine." He said, with a sinister smile.

I heard the door bust open.

"What do you want, Cedric?" Jason snapped.

"Just thought, maybe, this pretty girl should get in on our little secret." He chuckled.

"What secret? And why is it so important that you had to bust in through the window?" I exclaimed and ran into Jason's arms.

"You see, kitten, whenever any girl finds out about this secret, their life span is cut short." He smirked.

"Don't you dare?" Jason hissed.

"I know you care about her. So that would be very fun seeing what you would do if she knew." Cedric said walking over to us.

"No, we're taking this to the grave." Jason snapped.

"You always tried to run away and yet you'd always come here. To the home you grew up in." Cedric stated.

"Ok, I'll be honest with you Jason, if you took every girl here, no wonder Cedric knew where to look for us," I commented.

"He's never been the smartest boy," Cedric said. I thought that was it but then he got up in Jason's face. "Right? Son?" He smirked and walked off.
