A little later on, Delgado was practicing some of his own moves at his practice spot: an old, abandoned skatepark that was much bigger than the one that Dolly and other dogs frequented, and yet much less colorful, with all of the graffiti being dull and faded. He started running down one side of the half pipe, and once he got to the top edge of the other side, he used his forelegs to push himself upward, and started twisting his body in corkscrew spins while in midair. However, as he was doing this, some older dogs who were nearby decided that it would be funny to try and throw a tennis ball at him while he's up. One of them took the first throw, but before it could reach the little handicapped pup, it was caught by a small, young female poodle pup with powder-blue fur and a deep purple collar that had a rose-quartz and lavender teardrop-shaped charm. That catch quickly diverted Delgado's focus, causing him to fall slightly short of the other side of the half pipe, his head getting hit right on the edge and his body then sliding right down in the middle. "Why don't you blokes watch where you're throwing?" The little poodle pup shouted at the older dogs once she'd landed, throwing the ball back hard enough to give one of them a black eye.
After that, she promptly turned her attention to an awestruck (and slightly bruised and scraped up) Delgado. "You alright?"
"Oh, yeah," Delgado sheepishly answered, "uh, thanks."
"No worries," the young poodle replied, then she looked at the bruises on his face. "We should probably get some ice on those bruises, though. And treat those scrapes."
"Oh, it's fine," Delgado declined, "they just make my face look cooler. Uh, I'm Delgado, by the way."
"Well, my name's-"
"Rosalind!"
Just before the young poodle pup could finish her sentence, she heard two other pups coming up to her: Dawkins and Albert (a Cockney-accented, auburn-furred mixed breed of an English Cocker Spaniel and an English Springer Spaniel, adorned with a royal-blue collar with a golden-yellow, shield-shaped tag). "Hi, guys!"
"Oh, Delgado," Dawkins commented, noticing the presence of and approaching his wheelchair-bound brother, "I see you and Rosalind have met."
"Uh, yeah," Delgado responded.
"So I presume she was nice to you?" Dawkins guessed, to which Delgado nervously answered, "Uh, oh, y-yeah. She's, uhhh, pretty cool."
"Rriiight..." Dawkins replied as he rolled his eyes.
"We were gonna do a PoodleWolf adventure," Albert told Rosalind through his plush piggy bank, Penny Plusington, "but it sure wouldn't be the same without Geoda."
Rosalind got out a celestite geode and moved it around a little while saying in a slightly Yoda-like voice (while still retaining her English accent), "To join love I would," to which both of them (plus Dawkins) started laughing. There were even some quiet, stifled giggles from Delgado.
"Well, we'd best be going," Dawkins said, "Dylan and the others are waiting for us."
"Alright then," Rosalind then turned to Delgado and said, "It was great meeting you, Delgado. Be sure not to break any bones, okay?" She then winked at him before going off to join Dawkins and Albert (who was enthusiastically chanting "PoodleWolf! PoodleWolf!").
"Oh, o-okay," Delgado responded, with a light pink blush dusted on his face, "See ya."
