Steve POV

I was so happy about Natasha's news and I know how much it ment to her being officially part of the family. Even though she didn't know it she was always part of mine. Anyway I woke up with a smile on my face. I was walking to school when a poster caught my eye.

Great just what I wanted to be in, no thanks. I walked past the sign laughing to myself and brought myself over to the rest of the group when Maria pulled me to the side.

Maria- Hey do you know about Natasha's big news.

Steve- yeah she texted me last night.

Maria-  I know too I am so happy for her.

Steve- same here I screamed so loud my dad grounded me for a week.

Maria- from what.

Steve- football.

Maria- you realise that you have a game tomorrow.

Steve- I know, he won't know if it's in school.

- wow I didn't know Steve Rogers broke the rules.

There she was looking happy as ever walking up to me her hips swaying... Whoa Steve what the heck are you going on about she's your FRIEND!

Steve- yeah yeah laugh all you want.

Natasha- I will.

Steve- so ....

Natasha- so what?

Steve- seriously?!

Maria- even though Natasha might look smart I think she is dumb.

Natasha- woah Maria thanks alot.

Maria- your welcome, so how does it feel?

Natasha- the best I couldn't stop crying for hours afterwards. But at least Steve got grounded for screaming.

Steve- you owe me.

Natasha- no I don't it was you fault!

She said laughing.

Steve- I screamed over your news!

Natasha- what you want me to join the cheerleading club or something?

Steve- omg I just had the best idea. Not only will you be in the team, you can be the team mascot.

Natasha- what I would rather just be a cheerleader...

Steve- it's fine it's just a giant cockatiel.

Natasha- fine I will if you audition for Romeo.

Steve- what noooooo please don't make me!

Natasha- come on baby Steve everyone else it.

Steve- fine deal. You are going to be flying away tomorrow.

Natasha- if you forgot all the other girls are in the cheerleading team so it won't be that bad.

Steve- damn I forgot.

Maria- wouldn't it be funny if Steve got cast as Romeo and Natasha as Juliet and you would have to kiss hug hold hands.

Natasha- really Maria. What about you and Sam.

I went bright red and slowly backed away but of course Natasha saw me and started to laugh. Great. I walked into the auditorium to go and audition. Tony was checking the lights on a ladder which can't be safe because they are swinging like mad. But I think Tony knows what he's doing. I suddenly feel a prod on the side of my hips and shy away because it tickled. And of course there she was again. She turned around to talk to Bucky. When I heard a shout.

Wanda- NATASHA

Pepper- NATASHA

Tony- sh*t

Natasha wasn't listening so I turned my back towards her to see the whole lighting system coming straight for her I quickly push Bucky out of the way and try to push Natasha. Sadly she didn't move in time so I jumped and landed on top of her trying not to hurt her as the whole metal lighting system fell down onto my back.

Bucky and Sam- STEVE

Was all I heard before everything when black.

Natasha POV

It was to late I couldn't move until I saw Steve flying towards me jumping over me to cover me from the massive steel lighting system. I hurt a bit but not as much as I would have I got my head hard as a watched the whole thing fall on top of Steve, who was protecting me. It went black for a few minutes but when I finally gained consciousness I saw him will metal imbedded in his back he was bleeding. He did this for me. I had to get out fast before it was to late to save him. I finally pushed my hand out of the rubble and shouted.

Natasha- HELP!

Pepper- NAT.

Maria- HOLD ON.

I heard the fire brigade turn up and start to pull the rubble in top of us. I held Steve's hand and put his head in my lap wishing he would wake up quickly. The firemen finally saw me and pulled me out taking Steve away immediately, I tried to follow him out but Maria stopped me and said we would go in a different car since I had injuries to. Just no where near as bad as Steve. I jumped in Maria's car and drove right to the hospital. I ran in not knowing what to do and shouted to see if he was there.

- I am sorry miss only people who are close to Steve Rogers are allowed to enter since he has just come out of surgery.

Natasha- I am his girlfriend.

-oh I am very sorry miss let me lead the way.

I know I shouldn't have said it after all it wasn't true but I had to see him. She walks me into his room and I see a set of stitches along his right shoulder. Sh*t I did this to him it was my fault!! I walked to his left side and took his hand in mine and stayed like that until I am assuming his mother soon rushing in.

Sarah- oh my gosh what happened.

Natasha- i am very sorry miss it was my fault I was the one who did this to him I was..

Sarah- don't say another word miss I know it wasn't your fault I have been told everything that happened don't worry it's ok come here.

I slowly walked to Sarah who engulfed me in a massive hug

Sarah- you must be Natasha.

Natasha- um yes.

Sarah- don't worry it's okay I know how much you mean to Steve and if he was conscious right now he would be telling you to stop crying now wouldn't he.

Natasha- yes yes he would I said smiling.

Sarah- no wonder he talks about you so much you are wonderful.

Natasha- oh well umm thank you.

Hours past and Sarah told me all about Steve as a kid all of the embarrassing stories, which I just laughed at and I managed to talk about my parents and my past. She was so easy to talk to and open up to she reminded me do much of Marta.

Sarah- well I better get going please promise me you will go home within the next 12 hours just for an hour or so because I can tell you are going to try and stay here.

Natasha-ok I promise.

I smiled at her and she smiled back. When she left it felt a bit quieter and I sat back in my place holding his hand.

Natasha- come on Steve please wake up I need you...

I stayed like that untill I drifted off into a deep sleep.
